Tried it as shown and was good. You must use instant coffee. She is just adding air to the mixture (whipping) so could use a tiny whisk or an electric mixer to be faster. It was pretty close but I found using brown sugar instead of white sugar and add a tiny splash of vanilla makes it taste a lot more like Tim Horton's than the recipe shown here. No need to crush ice first. Just add the coffee mixture, milk, and ice to blender all at once and blend. Either way you do it, though, it is the best copy cat recipe for ice cap that I've tried.
Me too and i want to make it too can u tell me how it went for u ? I love ice cap and have been hooked up to it for over 15 years and i want to start making homemade ones now
Wonderful video presentation! I made the recipe and it turned out great. I added a bit of vanilla extract, as I had seen in some other videos, and the taste was spot on. Thank you!
@Bigfoot chaser My apologies, but I honestly can't remember how much vanilla extract, because every time I've made it since, I have forgotten to add the vanilla extract -- the recipe still turned out good! Since vanilla extract is quite strong, I would try one teaspoon per serving first and see how you like it. I seem to remember adding it after the mixture got thick. What I do now is make a whole bunch of the mixture and use it as and when I need it. I don't mix it by hand. Instead, I put all of the ingredients (coffee, sugar and water) into a small blender (like a Nutribullet) and mix it that way. It comes out thick without the pain of mixing it by hand. Good luck!
prettyy good video...i made a huge iced cap lol, i didn't have a lot of ice tho so it tasted like a melted iced cap. I just put it in the freezer for a bit till it was more frozen. also i added ALOT more sugar afterwards (plus like a teaspoon of vannilla extract) to make it taste more like an iced cap
Here is my recipe add unsweetened cocoa powder, dark chocolate to milk then add coffee ,sweetener of your choice then put this in freezer then on next day put outside for while then blend it and add whipped cream enjoy
This was good, but I used nescafe for the coffee and I added more creamer/milk than the recipe called for and it tasted great. I made it with boba lol so the brownsugar made it taste super good 👍🏼 thanks 🙏
@@llucidity5290 I used a whisker instead of whisking it with my spoon for 8 minutes and then when I used ice I used the same ratio of ice to coffee and first blended the ice and then added in the coffee mixture.
@@llucidity5290 mine did not work at all think they used instant coffee. Literally tried it twice and mixed over 25 min and never changed how hers did. Annoyed I wasted all that time desperately wanting to try it lol
@Buvana's kitchen and lifestyle I grinded coffee beans and used it directly. I didn't know that I should use instant coffee powder. Thank you for replying.

any tips on how you made the coffee base? mine turns out super liquidy even when following the measurements.

@@llucidity5290 also, if you add a bit of chocolate syrup it will taste (at least to me) more like the iced coffee at Tim Horton’s.

Did you use instant coffee powder ?
@Buvana's kitchen and lifestyle
I grinded coffee beans and used it directly.
I didn't know that I should use instant coffee powder.
Thank you for replying.
It looks so delicious, love your recipes
I did it but it didn't taste like ice cap
If I don’t have coffee powder could I just replace it with regular coffee,
Yes!
@@charleyrose5194 thank you I don’t drink coffee so i don’t know if it’s too much or too little
Why does it look separated?
Wow looking so tasty and yummy
Is this made with instant or brewed coffee
Instant
My kids favorite drink
beautiful crafstmanship
Looks so delicious
Looks delicious
Do we use raw coffee grounds or a specific kind of coffee ground?
You must use Instant coffee. Regular coffee won't work.
Okay, thank you so much! ❤
Nice coffe..presentation super😋😋😋
Looking good and yummy
How did it change colour ?
looks so yummy
looks yummy and delicious
Do you use instant coffee or just normal store-bought coffee that you deal with granules
Instant coffee powder
Wow amazing i will try this 👌👌
2 Tbsp coffee 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp hot water one cup of milk and 10-15 ice cubes.
Amazing... I will try
It's my favorite
It looks so yammi i will try
Which brand coffee did you use?
Narasus Instant Coffee 🙂
@@BK20 thank you so much
Is there any specific coffee powder like Tim Hortons we should use to make this ?
You can use any brand of your preference! However, the one I used was the "Narasu's" brand instant coffee powder.
nope can use any coffee brand but it tastes the best with timmys coffee
You need an emulsifier like xanthan gum otherwise the ice and liquid won’t really come together
Love it that there is no instant coffee needed!!
Did you make it with regular coffee for the first part? If not instant what did you use?
I used instant coffee powder! (Narasu's) but feel free to use whichever brand you prefer!!
Haha, love that instant coffee was used in this video. You won't get the color or syrup consistency without it
That’s such a yummy drink !!
❤❤❤❤
Is it instant coffee?
Yes😊
Delicious 😋😋😋
Very nice and awesome
Looks delicious and well prepared
