    The crab that make it back to the ocean , do a ,full turning 3 quàrter flip with a quadruple spin ,into an off the chart belly flop ,that ruins their chances to ever have kids.

    Just like Dungeness crabbing but with a dry holding maybe it's a blast freeze boat

      They pack ice on them , the boat I fish on has live wells so they go into big water tanks basically.

    They are only throughing back the little ones because there is a camera there. What world body enforces quota rules? None. Most countries have a twelve mile zone that others can't fish.
    Surely you have seen Chinese factory boats going all over the world catch, cleaning and packaging 50,000 lbs. fish. They are flash frozen with a super cold Salted ice bath at -30 degrees.
    The boats come in for fuel, food and unloading 1000s of pallets of fish. Then they turn around and do it again.

    That must be a bitch unloading them after the trip, and having to re-handle them all. I think i'd go old school and use perferrated barrels with lifting ropes for ease of stowage, unloading, and handling of the catch.

    I'm no expert, but I spent the night in a Holiday Inn Express. Not really, but I have watched tons of Dangerous Catch. To me, and this is a totally amateur's armchair speculation, but this boat seems to be sloppy, sophomoric and a clusterf_ck in action.. Stepping on and dropping crates on /live keepers. Failing to coil the rope(s). If these guys are working on commission, they are dirt poor!

      Yeah, the dead weight gets off at the dock with the crabs. They don’t keep these guys if they aren’t doing their jobs. Too much risk of injury.

    • @alfbittner6489
      @alfbittner6489 6 лет назад +1

      that's why they call it pulling your weight, that was my job in Aus, spanner crabs, gaf the buie, hall the line, get grabs out of trap, rebait, grade, and get ready to shoot away, all day every day for 7 months, until close.
