Gain's undisclosed single [A Tempo] is out!
A delicate and warm melody like spring that will bring back the ordinary speed from fast moving days
'A tempo' is composed and written by G. Gorilla who made 'Drunk on sleep' and 'Cleansing Cream' for Brown Eyed Girls. This is the first big band ballad that Gain is trying out. She is known for being sexy, but this time she shows an innocent and sweet voice. Also, the full orchestration made by the string instruments gives a grand and beautiful melody to make a great mix. The theme symbol 'A Tempo' shows the fluttering heart of a person who wants to feel love as it is.

「A Temp」は、ブラウン・アイド・ガールズと一緒に「寝ぼけ」、「クレンジングクリーム」を作業したG.ゴリラの作詞・作曲の曲で、ガインが初挑戦するビッグバンドスタイルのバラードだ。いつも話題とされるセクシーさではなく、清純で甘いガインの声、そしてフルオーケストレーションで表現されたストリングスの雄大で美しい旋律が成し遂げた調和は、曲想記号「A Tempo（本来の速さで）」の意味通り愛のときめきをひっそりと感じたい内気な心を描き出した。

You know why it sounds like IU? G.Gorilla, the same person who worked with IU for Obliviate and Between The Lips and BEG for Cleansing Cream and Drunk On Sleep worked with her on this. He's in this video at 1:50 (he's the one telling Gain she's not at all innocent anymore, lmao).
A Tempo is lovely
When I first heard this, I really thought it was IU singing. Gain really is an amazing singer showing us so much early in 2014.
i have a lot of friends who always look down on kpop and question why i like kpop so much. i've given up trying to explain to them long ago. but it's watching vids like this that proves kpop is so much more than cute boys and flashy dances

I see a lot of people saying things like "it reminded me of IU"... NO. It made me think of her earlier days. She wasn't always promoting her sexy side.
