Tour my online boutique warehouse space! I started this store out of my apartment and always dreamt of having a warehouse space like this! What do you think?
About Me:
I’m Alli Schultz, the owner of Nomad Boutique. I own two store locations as well as an online boutique! I love sharing my insider knowledge about
owning a fashion boutique for other boutique owners and anybody wondering how to start a
boutique. I always dreamt of starting a business and being my own boss. Thanks to my

I work in retail, if the packages for the masks don't already have a hole punch in them..holepunch the plastic at the top and put them on a straight wall hook. It'll display all your masks hanging, and you can free up space on the table!
Just got to your grid wall in the stockroom- those exactly! That's what you can use to hang your masks
I’ve watched alooottttttt if warehouse tours. This is by far one of the most organized boutique warehouses.
What other tours were good. I’m trying to figure out how to organize my store.

Nice space. To make packing easier on the back, get some bed riders and put under your table legs. It is one of the best things I have done.

I def need the sku-ing video. I feel like SKU-ing inventory is so time consuming and overwhelming for me! You also inspired me to get the plastic target containers a long time ago and I’m so glad I made that move. It’s helped keep everything so much more organized! Great video!! Once you transition to new shelves for your warehouse save those plastic shelves for your hats, they’re wide enough and sturdy enough. Maybe even store the hat boxes on them as well. Just a thought.
Alli, can we see a video on the accounting side of things?! Not the stuff your accountant does, but how you manage your building bills, and separate employee pay, personal pay, inventory money, etc from personal expenses? 💗💗

ALLI YOU NEED TO DO FB LIVE!!!! I attended the Boutique Hub summit this spring and sooo many owners said they were selling soooooooo much in just an 1-4 hour span. They have trained their customers to be on LIVE certain days every week and people are addicted. I think this would explode for you too because your aesthetic is perfect for that right now.

This is amazing!! It looks so good! I do have an idea for storing the facemasks! Get a shelf and arrange the shelves so they are 13" apart, then use something like a magazine box(search on Amazon if you don't know what I mean), so that multiple boxes will fit side by side on the shelves. The masks would stack on top of each other and you'd even be able to hang one of the masks on the front of the box to show what's in it. That would be really efficient and save so much space!

Mask storage: storage stack rack, stack your supplies closer and in layers. It will save space yet you can still easily see and access each item style. Sometimes if its difficult to see what is in which bin so tape a single mask on the front for a visual label or have easy to read labels/ nicknames for each style.

First of all, thank you for your video's. My wife is having a lot of inspiration from them.
I can see you can grab items from your shelves from two sides. Which is very inefficient for storage density. If you always put two shelves back to back, you have only one side you can access the goods. This will clear up a lot of space and you still have a lot of room to walk.
Here in the Netherlands we have the "Sortera" range from Ikea. It's a garbage bin solution, but I use them to store tiny goods I sell. I think they will be perfect for the face masks, to store them dust-free.
As a small ebay reseller it great to see people succeed. It really does inspire me

Thank you so much for sharing this! We just invested in warehouse space for our production and stock a couple of months ago. I was also terrified of the commitment but it’s the best decision we ever made! Great tips in here as we figure out the best way to arrange our warehouse space.

You always motivate me...I''m a small online and do Pop Ups...my dream is to have a boutique and warehouse one day. I see how you grow and you are my inspiration. :). You mentioned about your warehouse boxes...I was told that if you use the corigated cardboard bins from Aline is the best for space...because before you know it you would be growing more and more. They look like cardboard boxes and they come in many sizes. The only thing about the plastic bins, btw I have them too, is that you have to pull the bins out and sometimes it can be hard on your back. But I have to say your set up looks awesome!!!! Great job, GIRL!!! Love seeing you back on and happy you are doing well....YAY!!!! Thank you for being so awesome and motivating. Maria:)

For the small accessories in your office I would use the shelf’s in the warehouse. It’ll give you height and more storage. I love your warehouse by the way!

I loved the video!!! Our online store has been doing so well since quarentine (we used to 95% focused on our brick and mortar but...covid) we have massively rearranged our online inventory so many times in just a few months! That Home Depot shelf looked better than the one I was going to buy at cost co. All we can do is keep trying until we nail it right? I would love yo see what you are planning for Black Friday/ cyber Monday! We have always had such a strong Black Friday but cyber Monday is intimidating!
Oh lovely, from the brief explanation you gave on how you store your stock, you seem to pretty much have it down. 😁👍🏽
I used to be Warehousing Specialist, you definitely have the basic idea of how to warehouse your stock so its quick and easy to use a picking list and fulfill your orders.
Every isle should have a "name", i.e. "A"
And every shelf, i.e. "1"
And every bin, i.e. "200; 201, 202, etc"
So:
If your picking slip which is generated from your order is printed and staff needs to pull the stock, a typical picking slip will have the stock item listed under bin # as...
1A200 - so isle A, shelf 1, bin 200.
Make sure all your like items are stored in the same isle, eg. Category/type/colour/size
Once your business becomes even bigger, and I'm sure it will 😉, you can even add to your picking location # (or to simplify things, your bin #.
It is so much easier to do your weekly/monthly and year end inventory inspections if you have this simple, yet effective system in place. But as I said. You seem to have it all under control. All the best to you young lady 💕
