I have not opened this airbrush for nearly 2 years now. Ive been procrastinating learning how to clean it. And just find something to mess around with it. Like a cheap 5' canvas or sonething Thank you for making a video series for cases like mine
@@coregeek yeah, its sitting next to the air compressor i got with it. i got it for a deal at a garage sale. the guy opening the packaging and never used it. like me. but unlike him i plan on keeping it. i just need to check the box on what type it even is. so this series is going to teach me how to use it. i forget which crafting facebook gave me the thumbs up. but i have "good" one. thats all i know. until your series continues. soeaking of, i need to get as drop sheet. so my balcony doesnt get sprayed different colours. the weather warming up would also be a plus
I started out with siphon feed airbrushes with the quick color changes, but they are MUCH more difficult for me to clean!! I switched to a gravity feed dual action airbrush and I swear by this stuff all the time :D I love this video of yours and even as an airbrushing person I still learned from your perspective, thank you :)
Nice video, I think this will help everyone a lot. Also I borrowed one of those cheap ones from a friend to try it out, and while it worked well enough for large areas, it was hard to clean and u had to clean it more because the quality was fairly bad. Once I wanted one for smaller things, and better quality I bought a Harder & Steenbeck infinity and it is just amazing. Its a German company and they live up to the German engineering stereotype. Just another brand of the higher end brushes, I am sure the others work as well as this, but it is my only real experience with a high quality airbrush.
love the pros and cons part of the video I prefer my gravity fed air brush I may have to check out those air brushes though as well look like I would enjoy them.
No Aaahhrrgs here! :D Eric, I found you from the Punished Props / graphite video and just saw more of your process. Just subscribed after watching this one too. I've a fan of Iwata brushes also. Curious, I was thinking about getting a cheap Harbor Freight HVLP...what happened to yours? Did they just fall apart over time? Thanks!
While brands like iwata are better I gotta say it also comes down to how well you maintain them, I've been rocking my AliExpress gravity and bottom feed dual actions for 2 years now, they were 30 and 25 bucks, a Sonic cleaner helps though.
@@coregeek it's cool your doing airbrush vids as I also have 1 coming up, a review of the cheapest airbrush with compressor I could find on AliExpress. I'll defo put a link to this vid for people that want to know more
@@coregeek also for those people that don't have harbour freight (like us EU people) so that they can still get their hands on a starter model for cheap
Outstanding cosplay video! Definitely gives us brand new strategies for making brand new content for our channel! We are constantly looking to collaborate with other channels as well.
2nd the cheap brushes thing. I got a cheap kit to see if it was something I'd use and I've spend more time cleaning clogs and wondering why its not working that actually painting. A neo is really high on my list.
Great video, I also wanted to add for anyone who wants to get their feet wet with airbrushing but doesn't want to spens much. Check shopgoodwill.com for used makeup airbrushes. They are usually $20 or less and come with a mini compressor. I bought one and it came with an airbrush thats similar to the neo ( I could control paint but not air) and it works great. I now bought a neo but use the same compressor.
Thank you. Great video
Excellent intro and graphic representation!
Thanks! I've been watching these after I already started airbrushing on a surfboard blank and the rest of the project is coming out WAY BETTER!!!

Geekto Studios Glad it’s a help.

Fantastic video. The illustrations are really helpful
Nazegoreng Glad you like them. Took me a while to put it all together but I think it was worth it. Thanks for watching.
This was a lot of help.
Professional Foamsmith Glad to hear it. Thank you for watching!
Great info Eric! Thanks so much for sharing. =D
Punished Props Academy Thank you right back!
Great information! I've always wondered about the differences between gravity & siphon fed. Thanks for the clear explanation!
nerdyviews Glad it was helpful! 😊

PixlProps Ive heard good tings about that brand too. There are are quality brands out there, I wish I had the income to try them all!
@@coregeek You and me both. I am planning on buying a second one this year though and I am most likely getting a Iwata to try different brands.
Yay! 1st thumb up!! Going to try my brush that has been in a tin for 2 years now. I am no longer scared
Odd Man Out Props Get to it! 😊
Great primer for air brushes. Thank you for sharing the information and look forward to your thought on compressors.
looking forward to this series -thanks Eric!
Awesome tutorial Eric! Thank you!
Thanks... more to come!
Can't wait for the next one!
Solid stuff!
I needed this! Cant wait for the rest of this series

Disfusional Studios Welcome. Thanks for watching.

Love the photobomb of "Judging Eric head judging Eric"
PatDooley50 Snuck that in there! 😊
Awesome video!! Looking forward to more MORE MORE! 🤘🤘
Downen Creative Studios Thank ya. Guess I better get to work! 😜
Nice 😁 also still a relative novice myself with my airbrushes, but it's a great versatile tool when you get the hang of it
Buckethead Props I still have a lot to learn too!

Great to hear! Thank you.
They eventually just have various problems.
I feel attacked on the subject of having one stored away unused for years. lol
🤣 sorry...
You gotta bust it out! :D
Thanks.
For painting a sword about 28 inches long and 2.5 inches wide, what kind of airbrush/penbrush I need?. I mean nozzle/needle specifications. Thanks
Any of the brushes mentioned would work for you.

Wayne's Workshop That’s cool man. Cheap can be good too. No matter the brand, proper maintenance is essential. I’ll be talking about that soon!

The bust of your head is staring into my soul
AV Replicas Muuuuuuaaaaahhhhhhaaaaaahhhhhaaaaa!
The part of having the airbrush tucked away in your room is a little real to me xD, haven't used it over a week

Christopher Pearson Yeah that is very frustrating. Issues still happen with quality gear but much less frequently.

Dsk That’s a great tip!
So guilty of still having an airbrush in its box. Bahaha
Jennifer Jones Oh noooooooo! 😊
Definitely pronounced Pa-chey.
Påske!!!
And it means "easter"!
