Wow. I've seen so many playthroughs of players choosing the Princess over saving reality from death. You're the first to do the opposite I've seen in a while, seeing the delusion of saving her and knowing it wasn't right. And that's even after the HEA route. Bravo, Merry. I also consider that the good ending, even if it's a bit melancholic.
I've been binge watching a bunch of people playing the game and now I've come across yours. I can't watch it right now, so I'll save it to watch later. So until then, I just quickly checked what chapters you got and WOW! You've got an AMAZING run! First you get Moment of Clarity (My favourite route) and then Razor straight after! The reason this is so funny to me is because those are the only two routes out of the 24 different routes you can get where you get _all_ the voices at once! And to make it even better is that you get them side by side. Once again, I haven't watched the video yet, but I can imagine you're confusion with getting all the voices twice in a row! You also got the more interesting ending with Prisoner! Well, the other ending is interesting too. It's just I've seen people get it so often that I've gotten a bit bored of it, (You get the other ending by examining the loose chain) so it was a breath of fresh air to see someone actually leave with her head :') And then you get the two most loved routes in the entire Slay the Princess fandom/community twice in a row as your two last routes! Thorn and Happily Ever After! I can't wait to start watching this video and see your reaction to the thorn kiss and the dance under the stars. Both of those routes are truly beautiful :]
@@ОлегВысоков-л8й Aw no! Why'd he turn it off!? The voice acting is such a huge part that conveys the emotions of the characters voices because the narrator doesn't narrate what their voices sound like. So it's really important! (The voice acting for this game is also phenomenal in general)
@@ОлегВысоков-л8й Ooohhh, ok that makes sense. It will be a bit annoying with how he won't hear the voice acting, but for a wholesome reason like that, I'll tolerate it. It will also be interesting to see what he thinks each voice will sound like.
@@ОлегВысоков-л8й Yeah, I agree that he'd definitely miss out on a lot by turning off voice acting. But it's already been done so there's not really any point in getting more upset about it. Also, I say wholesome because I find it sweet that he wanted to have fun with his chat and all. Maybe wholesome isn't the right word to use... Oh well!
I'd like to add that one of the devs (Tony) says in an AMA that he took various philosophies (especially eastern ones) in the writing- Taoism, being one of them. There's a theme of Yin-Yang with the two entities even on a visual standpoint. LQ is mostly dark with glowing white eyes while SM is mostly white and light grey with dark grey eyes. Narrator also answers that he made sure that the tear was rough so that both of them contain a piece of each other and getting rid of either one of them isn't totally ridding the universe of the concepts one personifies. In HEA, you get to see that; it's mostly stagnant with only a few elements changing with no true significant fulfillment because they're just stuck in the cabin until a decision is made to leave.
@@cocoabrowniebear Another Yin-Yang thing is when SM points out that LQ is a passive player. Princess is the active force of the two who pushes LQ to achieve enlightenment while the latter reacts to the situations he's in. They alternate states too, in action and design.
@@oceanicGrimalkin It's kinda the irony when Merry preferred the slay ending after he had gone through the Happy Ending Forever route. I mean, there's no wrong choices but this just left a bad taste in my mouth as there are ppl like him who don't actually understand the message of the game
@@_________ill948 Huu, I feel kinda the same. SM is the personification of change, death, progress, and transformation. LQ is implied to be stagnancy, stasis, stability, and order. Both of them also have pieces of each other, as Narrator says. I'm not sure how much he didn't get it, but eh. I'm not a fan of replacing the voices at times with flatter-sounding performance either. I guess this playthrough was just not my vibe.
That route with the dinner date where everything’s too perfect is an example of the world the narrator thinks he wants to make by slaying the princess. He even admits he was wrong as they leave the cabin.

Best thumbnail i have seen all week. That deserves respect alone.
