If you can drive to Tucson (not too far) Rainbow guitars carrys Vigier, that's where I bought mine. Its limited stock though so youd have to call and make sure they have one
@@Vlad-vb8lo my new teacher has 2 and let me try them out! No truss rod worries me though because my tech has seen them warped in the shop and unrepairable.

Guitar Interactive Magazine. I've heard the action is "by nature," incredibly low. Low, and not really designed for a higher action. I haven't played a low-action electric in years but am in love with the Mysterious Green Vigier. So - how low is low in this case?
Specs are on their site. Shawn Lane's signature version is HALF of a standard low action because the fretboard is flat as in a Spanish Classical guitar.
ALL three pickup guitars should actually have a 7 position switch! They should include the bridge pickup and the neck pickup AND ALL three pickups together to make 7 positions!
Renaissance Man that’s really surprising. Carbon fiber is one of the more stable substances on earth. Moisture and temperature don’t really affect it at all. I wonder if it delaminated somehow.
@@FrumpyPumpkin well my luthier has told me has has had Vigier come into the shop with issues that could not be repaired due to lack of a truss rod and the wood warped so guitar was junk.
@@GuitarsAndSynths hard to believe, and definitely not normal on a Vigier. I have 16 years old Excaliburs that are better than any other custom shop Jackson, BC rich and others that I own
Your third hand report is the only I've EVER heard of this happening... and Vigier have been doing 90/10 necks since 1988... I frankly doubt the report of your tech.
@@cyril185 Meh. I already have a PRS custom 24 that has a non recessed floating bridge. It’s okay but when I need the upward range I run out of room before the bridge hits the top of the guitar lol. Can’t really use it for any trem heavy parts.
Not so sure why you write so much simply to denigrate this guitar, but I own a fairly high-end S series Ibanez and tried many different guitars of that kind of range... Vigier Excalibur is just another league in terms of feel, build quality and tone etc... Forget about Ibanez or Jackson, maybe think US custom PRS or rather Music Man. But then we are in the same price range (actually Vigier are a bit cheaper in Europe compared to US imports, might be the opposite for USA prices due to taxes and importer margin).
Things I would change about this: 1.-Neck Joint: Get out of the 1940s already, you have carbon fiber, why can't you round the joint? EBMM figured it out. 2.-The bridge setup. It has to be carved to go both up and down.
They claim that the neck will never move, and it doesn’t matter if it’s freezing subzero temperature or extremely humid, you are using 0.08 or 0.13 gauge, I used to own one of this ugly Vigier Excalibur, and I can tell you this: Bullshit
Exactly how? Because he's hybrid picking most of the time. Please substantiate something like that for those of us who want to NOT make the same mistake. Thanks!
I wish that more guitar shops in the USA had these in stock to try before buying one. They look and sound amazing!
Love Vigier guitars they are amazing playing instruments, I wanna get a Excalibur soon
Are you sure about the switch settings? On most vigiers the middle position is a split neck/bridge
Vigier guitars are amazing!
middle position is not middle pickup but neck + bridge in single coil mode,
Switch: 5 positions
1 Humbucker in neck position
2 Single-coil in neck & middle position
3 Single-coil in neck & bridge position
4 Single-coil in bridge & middle position
5 Humbucker in bridge position
Great guitar player!!!
This review is the best I've seen so far.
I've got one and I want one more !
Never heard of them before but it looks and sounds great.
Vigiers are great guitars! I do live in France, but due to it's price range, even here they are rare (hard to try).
Would love to get my hands on a Vigier to try one out. Unfortunately no stores carry them in southern California!

I got one from Tone Merchants in Anaheim, but that was 13 years ago.

You should use a better amp for the test like a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier or Bogner Ecstasy. A cheap amp does no justice to a 5k custom guitar.
And if you can, try their Basses, they are exceptional!

1 Humbucker in neck position
2 Single-coil in neck & middle position
3 Single-coil in neck & bridge position
4 Single-coil in bridge & middle position

Can you still do behind the nut bends with those flex retainers?
I became aware of this guitar watching Tina S. I want an Excalibur.
wanna try that scale lenght.
No truss rod worries me a lot in these Vigier guitars as my tech has seen warped necks on older Vigier and they cannot be repaired!

Would be amazing if the bridge was recessed, but unfortunately they don't make any like that, except for ones with locking nuts. Count me out.
Try one first. I was a FR recessed but for years and I can’t touch that anymore. Vigiers design is the best

Why is this 2k more than a Jackson, Ibanez, Fender or ESP custom shop guitar? What makes it more special than other shredder custom shop guitars?
