This show is a flawless masterpiece. I liked it so much that I kinda want to erase my memory to watch it again. If you read it and still haven't watched it, then go and watch, it is worth your time

I’m Shoshone-Bannock. Glad to see our language on the big screen. Although, some words were used wrong, I still enjoyed it. It wasn’t that big of a deal because I understood what they were speaking because I’d sit there and try my best to listen to my elders when they were speaking. I’ll fully learn how to speak my language one day.

I wouldn’t say he is underrated. I would say that he has had some bad luck. That John Carter film was supposed to be a hit and it wasn’t. The way things shake out these days it becomes easy to forget these young actors. Hopefully they will get a project that can get them back in the good graces of everyday people. I’m a fan of his costar Betty Gilpin and she like him is in a lot of things but people don’t know her very well. Some would call her underrated but again I just think that she is more unknown. My old college roommate used to say “hey it’s the that guy or girl…” when someone like Gilpin or Kitsch popped up on the TV. Underrated to me sounds like they have given up. These two are still grinding and hopefully Gilpin will get some notice and Kitsch will get the notice that he should have been getting since John Carter.
Extremely underrated! He was so convincing as David Koresh, I wish he would have came back from the second season of Waco. He should have gotten way more recognition for playing that role.

Taylor was phenomenal in this and it was so nice to see him doing such an intense character. It really shows the many levels he's able to achieve. He's SO good. And Shea Whingham! Brilliant as always. And yes, the environment lends to making the experience as real as possible. As a country girl I was even nodding when it came to the pig slaughter scenes. The mud squishing, the weather and sky. This really is a great project. Good interview too!
The series American Primeval has such a great script, filled with romantic tragedies like an epic tale, but I didn't feel sad watching it. The cast is outstanding, from B. Gilpin, Taylor Kitsch, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Shea Whigham, Derek Hinkey... It's such an excellent TV series that it's been a long time since I binge-watched six episodes in one sitting without stopping.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. The main characters felt authentic and connected, the sets looked great, and the whole cast delivered a wonderful performance. Well done.
Brilliant acting from all the characters. Gritty and a true to life testament on how hard life was in the early Americas. Survival is a must. Watch America Primeval!

After the way Netflix just trashed the "Witcher series", which could have been a GOLD mine for them I must say, I had my doubts about this. They actually hit a homerun with this series. I binged it not bc I wanted too but, it gave me no choice, it was that good, I couldn't stop! 11 out off 10!
Great show! My only complaint is it wasn't long enough it was absolutely jam packed with action and drama could I had a little bit slower burn in the beginning more background on the characters . What actually happened to her back east, more of the history and situation with him is Chieftain mother and brother. Did he marry one of her daughters was he adopted into the tribe at a younger age? They could have done alot more with Bridger and the Mormans in history they actually tried to arrest him, he escaped they took over the fort (did a fake sale) and he came back and took it back or something. It just seems like they could have done 10-12 episodes eazy. I wanted more but that is an indication of a good show. They're acting was great and there was a lot of great acting in the show.
i really would like to thank Mr Peter Berg. The Actors/esses really did amazing. All of them. But, Mr Berg really had the vision and directing style to make this feel really authentic. I mean. Its 1800's, Frontier Life at its rawest form. Back when, the World was still untamed.... Doesn't get any cooler than that. 👍
I really enjoyed this short series (I hardly watch any TV), which suits me as I do not have an inclination to follow multiple series of anything as they just becomes a grind. Looking back on it now though I think it might have done with a bigger budget to make the whole thing more 'epic', certainly the battles/conflict situations could have been delivered on a bigger stage so to speak - in fact this whole short series might have made a great movie. Any way's it was fun!
So hard to watch and yet so hard to let go of at the end. What a ride !!! It drew me into the history and what really happened, and the Mormons did not come out looking very good ! I really cared about these characters and could definitely have seen more about them all.
It definitely is getting a lot of negativity from Mormons for not being completely accurate- since it is based on events- but when you honestly research that time in Mormon history you find out that in many ways the real history was even worse and the Mormons would look just as bad if not worse

P.S the guy with piece PIPE that owns the Fort damn forgot his name I think Shea Wignham was really spot on. Great Show
This show was amazing and the cinematic fighting scenes were so amazing especially that first battle scene where the mormans attacked them wins so amazing with that bull coming at the and runs thru the wagon amazing only thing was the ending was open ended what happend to the mormans and Sara,Devin and 2 moons and some other characters that was my only thing but show was amazing
I think the mormans continue their dream of zion and sara devin and 2moons are off to Calforina hopefully they survive without issac. Everybody else is dead if u think about it.
What are you waiting for? Just watch it. The best series I have watched on Netflix by far, truly exceptional, the acting, locations and story it really stays with you too after it ends.
Really enjoyed the series. The character Sara managed to irritate everyone watching. Did not alter her way of thinking even though the new situations demanded that change. She reminded me of so many people in the news.
Just finished this series last night. One would have to dig way deep and then just make up stuff to not agree this is an extremely well-done story. The supporting actors were fantastic as well. Nothing seemed fake or CGI'd to the hilt. You believed they were where they were throughout the story.

If you have not seen Ms. Gilpin in "The Hunt", you are missing a masterclass in "'owning the character". Amazing acting.
