@Cicciomarmitta generally the more overpriced it is, the more it gets marked down. Amazon is really good at marking them down to reasonable prices, just look how low the justifier has been
The only way I'd pay $100 for it would be if it had zero stickers and all pieces were printed. I don't know how many older Star Wars sets I have that have all the corners peeling up on the old stickers
If they really wanted to fit that 100 price tag they should have added the Royal Guards and built the whole throne room (walkway, door, hole to throw the emperor down, etc.)
Nah, all that skyrockets the price to around 300 or more. Maybe some royal guards, but definitely not an entire room. For 100, as well? Not gonna happen.
Minifigs and prints aside, remaining pieces can be obtained for under 40 bucks. Which implies Vader, Luke, and Palpatine are worth just under 20 bucks each. Make your own decisions on what it's worth to you. (That throne is hella fine though!)

It looks cool and would be nice on display no doubt but they're pricing these like museum gift store, disneyland gift store prices. Tourist pricing for people who don't know Lego and getting these as gifts. The only one's (before the price hike) that were fair pricing were the Trench-Run diorama and Yoda's Degobah diorama. Basically they're all 20-30% too much. But many will pick up at this high retail.
It’s a must grab for me. One of the best scenes ever for me as a kid. Loved seeing Luke rise up as a badass loyal Jedi. And Darth avenge himself with Luke walking him out and revealing his face. Fucking epic for its time.
I made a MOC of this 7 years ago so it's cool to see an official version from LEGO. It would have been neat if they had included the part below the deck where Luke is hiding from Vader. It only would have needed some small pillars. 100 is too much for me.
For those saying that they just don't like the price you'll probably be able to find it at 20% off a few times which is a real fair price. And maybe even better if you're lucky
The thing that sucks about these sets is that they only become more expensive with age. With most things you can wait for them to go on sale, but what's 100 now will probably end up being double that in 5 years
When I look at the price, what that would get you with the competition, or Lego itself in the past, I feel bad for the designer who's work has been disgraced by the pricetag here
The current Star Wars and Marvel sets are more expensive on average per brick than any of the other sets aside from maybe the collectible stuff like Icons. It definitely has something to do with Disney. Disney probably aren’t controlling the prices, but they might want a bigger percentage in sales compared to the other company brands lego borrows from. The current sets aren’t even worth it if they were at regular price imo. A lot of the best SW sets were around the 2004-2008 era
I absolutely adore this diorama! Definitely my favorite of the ones we've gotten so far, although $100 does kind of sting. I suppose that price point isn't too unheard of for LSW nowadays, and couldve been much worse. Still, looking forward to pick this up!
@@Yayo_official why don't you just let him spend his money on what he wants, you'd be lying if you said it was a bad build, plus at the very least the 3 figs we do get are very good figs, stop complaining so much
@@Yayo_official Unfortunately, this just isn't really the case anymore. It's rare now for a Star Wars set to hit the 10-cents-per-piece golden standard.
