Percs of being a woodworker :) yeah the scale thing is basically a must for the flair, imo the biggest improvement for me. The organizer was just because I had wood left over from a project and all my little helpers where piling up :)
Hey again. I recently moved flats, and sadly have no more space for the organizer. If you would like it, I'm willing to pass it on for just shipping. If you're interested let me know :)
@@Akromee which country you live in ? I'll check how much a package would cost there :) otherwise you can DM me on insta where you can find me under chris_das_mischka
As a woodworker, appreciate the effort and design of your workspace. Seems you routed out the tray so the scale sits under the base. Excellent idea. First time anyone has shot the manual grinder in realtime, 2:30 for 18g. Perhaps an update of your opnion after a few years of using the Flair? Thanks for the clip, well done.
I still use it daylie, same with the commandante. I just bought another brew Chamber (have 3 now). When I expect guests I prep 3 baskets and heat up 3 Chambers, and can dish out 3 espresso real quick. Got the nanofoamer pro this year, and good with milk drinks as well:)
I love the video & the jazz. The espresso looked great too. But that’s a lot of time & effort to produce about an ounce of coffee. I wish I had that kind of patience.
Thank you. For me it's a ritual. Caffeine doesn't really effect me, so I basically only drink coffee for its flavour. And when I do, I enjoy everything made by hand, same with the organizers :) the direct feedback from the mill, when you feel the beans being crushed, so calming.
@@Caffeine.And.Carvings yes it's asmr... Then, I wanted to get a machine but after using Cafflano Kompresso... I was like manual espresso is much fun than machine but of course if you have 5-6 people wanting coffee.... Manual espresso ain't gonna cut it but for 1-2 person manual espresso so fun, much cheaper and portable
Currently I have a super fresh batch (lots of co2) and I am on 19-20 clicks on red (so about 10 clicks normal axle). The older the coffee the lower I go. Saludos
Yeah, it was almost the last shot of the bag. I have yet to acquire good storage for my coffee. The first shots had a lot of crema. The shot from the video still had a very velvet mouthfeel
Good evening, it's from crema coffee, and you are correct, its 45.5mm. In retrospect, i dont use the leveler and would have rather bought a spring loaded temp
Nice video indeed. Great workflow. Btw, is that leveler (distributor) Crema Coffee? Or custom made for Pro2? Obviously, it is not so easy to find 45.5mm leveler/distributor/tamper... :(
I usually start with 10 clicks (20 on red axle) from absolute 0 (handle won't turn) with a new bag of coffee. I then observe how the shot is pulling, too fast, smaller grind (sometimes I go down to 6 clicks) until it tastes good and pulls well. I'll soon update my workflow video as I changed it a bit :)
Great video ! Some details in it will improve my game, thanks :) Are you able to brew above 90°C easily with that preheat method ? And do you find a difference, tastewise, when preheating the basket aswell ? Never thought of that
Hello :) happy you could take away something for yourself. The temp sticker on the brew chamber and actually preheating the basket was a literal gamechanger for me. I just couldn't get balanced shots before, always ended up a tad to sour. With the basket it's a fine line though. You want to heat it, then dry off and let it cool a bit til it feels warm in your hand but doenst burn you. If it's to hot to touch it will burn the coffee. But if it's not hot at all it will soak up still to much heat. So basically take it off the steamer for like 30 sec when the brew chamber has reached temp, and then dry it off and prep the puck
@@Caffeine.And.Carvings Nice to know man, thanks again :) About the preheating, I can't manage to get my temp strip to show 90 or 95 when starting to press, I always loose heat to 85-80 when I place the brewhead on the Flair, even when preheating 8 or 9 minutes on the Moka base.. what about you regarding this detail ?
Hahaha. Shit this video made me chuckle and made me shake my head. All these people that pretend to be baristas gotta have this set up and attitude and make it look "professional" and peaceful haha. Especially putting the brewed coffee after the bag of coffee beans for advertisement.
The bag was just there for visuals. Main focus of the video was just to play around with editing abit and how to set up something like that. I'm far from a barista or even professional. I just love coffee and doing things with my hands, hence all manual machines. Good coffee, and a relaxing ritualistic workflow. Sadly I dont get paid by the barn, as I dump quite a bit of money into there coffee^^
Wow, love the wooden organizer things you've got! And the scale adapter under the Flair is genius.

It's the one from crema. Works perfectly if you dose higher than 15g
What does the text say at the beginning? Watching on phone can’t make it out.
Flair Pro 2
18g in
La Paz, washed catuai
40g out
10sec preinfusion
30 sec brewtime
