You need to react to Epica live.
try Once Upon a Nightmare from Omega Alive.
For symphonic metal try Unleashed or Chasing the Dragon from their Retrospect show. A 3 hour live show with full orchestra and choir from 2013.
For gothic metal try their early stuff, The Phantom Agony official video.
Great recommendation 👍
Agree. "Once upon a nightmare" is maybe my favorite metal ballad ever
This is the set
I love Epica but I avoid their videos. Live only!
32 thumbs up so I'll add them to the list :D
welcome to Epica! this is one of their most radio friendly tracks where they really tamed a lot of their heavier impulses musically. so if you're into the more death-y, more symphonic sides of stuff, pretty much the entire rest of Epica's catalog should work for you!
Any album recs?
The band is awesome , You will love them,
I suggest you a great live performance:
Kingdom of heaven pt 3
(Omega live)
Or
The obsessive devotion
(Omega live)
All added to the reaction list :)
Hi INTJ, if you want to hear the heavier side of EPICA, I think you will enjoy this one,
cool video too
EPICA - Ascension - Dream State Armageddon (Official Lyric Video)
Thanks for the rec!
‘Once upon a Nightmare’ from the Omega Alive show. Go for it! Simone is astonishing but then so are all of the band and never better than live.
Thanks for the rec!
The mix voices betwwen simone's operatic voice and Mark death growls create an atmospheric like the beauty and the beast ...
Yeah
This song from Epica is more ,,,general-public friendly'' in my opinion, but nothing too amazing. It is good and fairly well represents their sound, but doesn't really show you their capabilities. It is a good entry for people used to conventional pop and rock music.
If you want to give them another chance (please do), here is a list of good options.
- In all Conscience (Omega Alive) - A little heavier ballad with amazing soaring highs from Simone
- Tides of Time (studio version) - A beautiful ballad and personally ma favourite song ever
- Skeleton Key (Omega alive) - Heavy song with a great mix of both Simone (soprano) and Mark (growls)
- Consign to Oblivion (Live at Zenith or Live at AFAS live) - This is the most common first reaction song, and for a good reason. Heavy, long, amazing. Very well represents their general sound. Fun live performances as well.
- Sancta Terra (Live at Retrospect with Floor Jansen) - Purely clean vocals with heavier accompaniment. Very good performance that features Nightwish's Floor Jansen as a guest artist at Epica's 10 year anniversary show with full symphonic orchestra. Very commonly reacted to because it ties the Nightwish and Epica fanbases nicely together.
- Once upon a Nightmare (Omega Alive) - Beautiful ballad with an anazing guitar and piano opening solo.
There are many more and I could go on for a while, but these are all good picks.
Wow thanks for the recs!
Any album recs?
Yes she have GREAT voice!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a lot of exclamation marks
these guys are diverse in their sound, this song is pretty simple and radio friendly but they have a lot of more complex and heavier songs
Any you recommend?
@@intjreacts «Consign to oblivion” live at the zenith
“Kingdom of heaven part 3” omega alive show
it will be something completely different
An Epica song, live in concert last year in Amsterdam, very epic 🙃
EPICA - Unleashed (Live At The AFAS Live)
Thanks for the rec!
🤘🤘
:D
Epica is definitely a band, where you need to watch their live performances. If you are sticking strictly to videos. I would recommend Universal Death Squad, Abyss of Time and The Skeleton Key.
Thanks for the recs!
Listen to Once Upon a Nightmare. Its so beautiful and one of the most beautiful numbers I ever heard.
Song or band?
Consign to Oblivion live in Paris is definitely worth it
I'll add it to the list!
Next song to react to is UNLEASHED!
Thanks for the rec
This is very old . The new work called siren. The most important metal band in Europe
When was "Siren" released?
Epica is, as the name implies, pretty epic. If I tried to give you a list of reaction worthy Epica songs/performances, it would keep me up all night. But here are a few I really like personally...
The Skeleton Key (Omega Alive)
Kingdom of Heaven pt. 3 (Omega Alive)
The Code of Life (live at The AFAS)
Rivers (live at The AFAS), featuring Apocalyptica
Design Your Universe (live Retrospect)
Sancta Terra (live Retrospect), featuring Floor Jansen
Universal Death Squad (MV)
Edge of the Blade (MV)
Tides of Time (studio version)
Oooh thanks for the recs!
Any album recommendations from them?
@@intjreacts Well, all of them, really. They have released quite a few albums. One of their latest, Ωmega, is really good. Design Your Universe, The Holographic Principle, and Consign To Oblivion are also very good, imho. Simone Simons, the vocalist, is about to release a solo album, Vermillion, which I have preordered. She has also done a few collabs with the master of rock operas, Arjen Anthony Lucassen.
The beauty in here are overwhelming
Thanks for watching
You gotta react to Night Shall Drape Us - Under the Dead Sky some incredible black metal from Norway/Finland
Thanks for the rec & for watching!
You can try Epica - Cry For The Moon
Thanks for the rec!
Always love to see a beautyfull woman like you reacting to epica i hope many will follow thats why I subscribed to your channel
Thanks for subscribing!
Kingdom of heaven part 3 next please
part 3?
Great reaction to fantastic music. React to "Nightwish - Ghost love score" live at wacken 2013 and dig deep in their catalog and you will get a ride you`ll never forget. They are a Symphonic metalband from Finland and if you like poetic lyrics, there you have it. Greetings from Sweden
I've been a long time Nightwish enjoyer
@@intjreacts I saw that later when i looked at your video catalog 😋
Consign to oblivion live at the zennith in paris an other great song
Thanks for the rec!
Best to go with a live version from Epica. Would recommend Consign to oblivion live at Zenith Paris.
I've added it to the list :)

I'm actually really interested in that artist so I'll add it to the list
