Hey Dan, I think you may have installed the AC control unit wrong - the metal bracket that supports the sides of the center console should fit over the bottom of the unit. As seen in your disassembly vid, at about 21:04. Cheers.
Well spotted! I must've overlooked that bit! Sometimes, as it all goes back together so well, you can easily become overconfident and mess up 😅 luckily that is a nice quick fix, so I'll put that right before I forget cheers!
I installed a unit but it has very low sound, it was installed with the wire kit so there's just one plug and the antenna so there's no way to install it wrong, any ideas what could be wrong?
Make sure the head unit is able to supply enough RMS wattage to meet the speakers RMS wattage requirements. Otherwise it may be very underpowered. Other thing to check is if you have loudness turned on in the head unit settings.
Nice one, I really want to sort out the stereo in my 940.

Can you tell me what size the Volvo speakers are? 6 inch ? or 6,5 inch ? thankss !
I used 6.5in at the front and 5.25in at the rear. I feel like that was bigger than factory size but I didn't measure the factory ones.
@@DanWithAPlan666 nice, thanks for the information !
