Oh my God I just got a 2019 Honda Civic hatchback version like a month ago, so OK five years old of course key is dying. I was like how am I gonna make it to work tomorrow if I don’t fix this because I didn’t get this notification on my dash till I was leaving work at midnight tonight, lmaoooo, I hope this works if I need it to hahaha.

Thanks man! my problen is that the car starts. When I turn it off, it won't start again. After another couple start, I gor the message " power is on" and no start.

You're still using the fob to start it.

Even if the fob is dead, it can still send a signal back to the car to start it up. It's just a weaker signal, which is why you need to hold it so close to the start button.

My boyfriend lost the fob, but we have the key bit, it does not turn either direction even when the handle is pulled or not. We tried turning the key around as well. Any tips?

What if this worked and now doesn’t? After replacing the battery in the FOB? Would it be the key fob is bad?

No t exactly sure...probably best to just change the battery
