I gave my life to christ in 2015 and was going thru a horrendous time in my life. A bad divorce, both parents critically ill, health issues and a serious legal issue. I have always believed in angels in heaven. That was until God sent one to ME in my life. I had an encounter with a homeless man with a very well trained dog, in Waco Texas. The guy was late 20s, very early 30s and I had 4 encounters with him in 4 totally different areas of Waco and the chances of that were astronomical. He always walked. The encounters changed me, and. I'm still changed from it. I have thanked God for them but I always ask, God why did I have to look into a homeless man eyes, to see the eyes of Jesus.
Jesus was homeless and even had a borrowed grave.
When a lost person accepts Christ in their heart this is a miracle!
Amen to that!
Every time the Lord gives me guidance in these rough times it's a miracle
One of the most notable things I've seen God do before was for a very old lady who was continually bent over.
She had to walk very slowly and struggled to keep her balance.
A man walked up to her as she was walking along the sidewalk on a very hot day in Springfield, Missouri. He introduced himself to her and asked her if she knew Jesus. She hesitated a bit and very unconfidently replied, "welllll.... yeaaaaaah." He then asked her if he could sing a sing a song for her and she agreed.
So he continued walking beside her while singing a song in which it was like Jesus was singing to her about all He did to show her His love for her. It was basically the gospel from Jesus' perspective.
While he was singing, her back straightened up just like a normal spine would be and she began walking much faster than before.
She believed in Jesus that day and I'm sure she was marked forever by what had happened to her.
It was astonishing to say the least. I'll never forget it. Absolutely amazing.
Our God is AWESOME!!!

Can someone explain if the apostles were the only ones doing works why does it say in Acts 6:8 that Stephen did them. In Acts 9:17-18,Ananias laid hands and healed Paul with the Holy Spirit working through him, Barnabus with Paul was doing mighty works Acts 14:3, and also Cornelius and his family. Also why would Paul write to the Corinthians about the order of how gifts should be used if only the Apostles used them?

Our Father in heaven is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has not changed. Yes, miracles do happen today!
To Phil's question as to how did the Christmas not get killed when Rome destroyed Jerusalem.
The answer is that they had studied and knew the prophesy's and recognised what they should do as did the disciples
Matthew Mark and Luke all wrote about these prophesy's
Luke 21
20¶And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
It is pretty clear really and the early Church fathers confirmed it in their writings
I believe this prophesy was meant to have two fulfilments- the second being just prior to Jesus's 2nd coming
Sadly nowadays most Christians do not know much about prophesy and most preachers don't preach on prophesy which I find incredible.
As one third of the Bible IS prophesy and as Revelation 19/10 tells us" the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy"
I fear greatly for the Church as the end times - the birth pains - the tribulation and Gods wrath being poured out on this world - all races towards us. Will Christians even recognise what is happening. Our Bible does not give us dates but by the grace of God it does give us many signs and it does show us seasons. But it all requires study and prayer and time to fully comprehend as it is all way beyond anything the world has ever experienced before.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ and Preachers who truly want to preach the whole word of God - in season and out of season (whether its popular or not) - study and learn the one third of the Bible that has been given to us so that we have understanding of what we see happening in our world and know how God wants us to act. Just like the sons of Issachar - who knew the signs of their times and knew what Israel should do.
But the most important thing to do is pray to the Holy Spirit to open your mind and your eyes and your heart and believe so that in the day of trouble - you will not be deceived and you WILL overcome the evil one by the blood of the Lamb
I quit writing I have tried many times before to reach out ask for help but I will pick up my feet and travel on ward . Love your sermons love that you stick to the fathers word . God bless boys perhaps you can help the next beggar . I'm trying lord knows I need a porous but I need baptism I found the lord and try learning every day but still lost with out being able to help others cause I can't even help myself Jesus is fixing me though

He healed me 100 percent on my way to the hospital for the 2nd time . I stopped breathing blacked out heard a voice felt him touch my chest say your fine and I snapped awake could breath again and everything has changed in my life all I want to do is make up lost time for my ignorance . I have been terrified ever since ,I'm trying to walk with the lord jesus and I'm not worthy of his love ,forgiveness ,and his glory... but I am now and forever his servant .
