Great video and you speak at a very comfortable and understandable rate, not too fast or jumping around. Your explanations are very clear and precise. I learned a neat function I never knew about is just a few minutes. Recommendation: I just found your channel so I am going to explore your other videos, perhaps you already have this there, but a suggestion to include in this video or related follow up video is how to get multiple columns of data (e.g. "open, close, high, low, volume) and only one "date" column. In this video, it appears each time we make a call for a specific column like "open", Google sheets automatically populates a dates column next to the request. I would be curious to know how to pull multiple data columns with just one date column. My apologies if you already address this in another video that I am not aware of. Anyways, some food for thought. Great job. God's blessing to you!
Thanks! Still works! Do you know if you can pull for a certain time? Like off of the minute chart? I day trade and would like to be able to pull data for multiple times a day.
Good Day, Sir. May i ask you a question? 🙏 List of Stock Prices (Monthly/Daily/Weekly Closing Price) on Google Finance Indonesia, the last one is only until July 1, 2022, right? How come today (September 18, 2022) does not appear? Thank you =googlefinance(concatenate("IDX:";"TLKM");"price";DATE(2022;1;1);DATE(2022;12;31);"WEEKLY") The result is different with this function : =googlefinance(concatenate("NYSE:";"UNVR");"price";DATE(2022;1;1);DATE(2022;12;31);"WEEKLY")
What would the syntax be? I want to compare todays price to the closing price 1 or 2 or 5 or "Max" years ago to find out if todays price is higher or lower than it was "a year ago". Thanks!!
Hello Sir, I have a query regarding Google finance please help me to solve it. Query is, I have 25 stocks list in Column B and I want in column C or D is ( specific date closing price of every stocks of collum B. Like I want 23/6/2022 closing price in column C or D)
Hi sir, good afternoon What's the formula for below, if possible plz share it Getting highest Stock Price for Specific Dates and Date Ranges with Google Finance in 1 culom
Hi, how can i plot previous 3 days or 5 days price agains a list of stocks? So if today i open the sheet it gives me previous 3/5 days price for all the stocks i hv on my list without me having to update the dates in the columns.
Looking for the formula of historical close price, day before historical date. Example: Historical date: 07.07.2016, Ticker: FORD, Close price at 06.07.2016. Can't find solution in any youtube videos. And just price value in same cell. Thank You!
Interesting. week to date, month to date are definitely not common. Year to date seems to come up from time to time. Of course, we're getting this info so that we can compare investment A to investment B. If you compare WTD returns instead of annualized returns, are you really getting any new comparative info? Making an Excel formula to display that does sound like a fun challenge--and I'm confident it'll work.
@@SixMinutesSmarter I found d a video that does this in Google Sheets - But as an Advisor, I look for trends, short, mid and long term. Thats wy I use several dates
Hi Ralph , this was great .I have one doubt .Is there a way to get highest price in last 6 months . I am trying to arrange all the stocks in rows and wanted to compare 52 week high and last 6 months high .
I love this tutorial!!! However, I'm trying to add stock rates from today (current) and the past 4 days into googlesheets from google finance. I currently have the cells as today (C3) then next cell is =C3-1, =D3-1, =E3-1.... so the cell dates change daily based on today's date in C3. Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to find a tutorial that describes how to make this work. Thank you!
Nice video. Can you please advise how i can short data by date. I am able to pull data but just like in your video, old date show up on top row and most recent date is in at bottom. I need most recent date on top. Thank you
Hello, awesome vid! I have one question, since as "last date" u put a future date, that means that the next day your excel automatically updates and shows u the next day values? That would be awesome to create a chart real time
Can this Google Finance tool, give me live feeds of a currency pair (Forex) is trending up or down. For example GBP/USD. One cell would be current GBP/USD; 2nd Cell would be GBP/USD from 72 hours previous. Third cell could just be simple logic formula to confirm. Bullish or Bear would be put in third cell. Basically looking for trend Seems easy. ? Maybe an input is if you wanted to a variable to how far back to look. 72 hours, 36 hours 144 hours whatever. I hope I explained that well.
Google finance seems not so reliable, if I ask to give me all latest closing prices on 28 june 2023, latest data he can show is 26 june, also when you want to point to a day earlier but it falls in a weekend, he rounds it off to nearest date Hard work to just get 2 latest market datapoints out of it Would be nice of Googlesheets that they also make a "marketday" so we don't need to do this work around every time ;-). marketday(). marketday()-1. ....

@@SixMinutesSmarter thanks for the clear video ralph, very interesting! So what would be the formula to get YTD data?
Check ruclips.net/video/_M-Q1BTZB2g/видео.html in about 10 minutes for a walk-through of the year-to-date return formula.

Hi Ralph , this was great .I have one doubt .Is there a way to get highest price in last 6 months . I am trying to arrange all the stocks in rows and wanted to compare 52 week high and last 6 months high .
Is there a way to just have the close price without the headers of "Date" and Close?. I would just like the value in one cell
Did you ever figure out how to do this?
