    I'd also suggest peopleperhour. Quite often I see translation jobs on there. Also Louise, I have a client that has a translation agency. Louise, I'll pm you ref that. Interesting to hear others experiences in getting started. Hope you're having a great week.

      Awesome! Thanks for the tips Sean :D Peopleperhour is a good shout. I'd like to interview someone who can compare all the different freelancer sites!

    Thanks for making this video, Louise! I hadn't thought about offering translations on Upwork, but that's a really good idea for us non-native speakers :)

      Fantastic!! Happy to help :) Definitely reinforces the fact that a skill which is "easy" for you means you don't always see the value to other people! Sometimes the answer is right in front of you...
      What do you do for work right now?

    I see others mentioned the low contrast titles with the questions. I agree, as I am always on a mobile platform, many times watching from the beach or other outdoor location, it's impossible for me to see those graphics. Usually, I don't like to critique other's style, but maybe a slightly darker pink, a dark stroke on the text or even audio of the question being read, would make it easier to follow, for me. I got super lost trying to figure out from her answer, what the question was. But of course, do it however you want, haha! Cheers! 😉

      Hi Rich. Thanks so much - super super helpful feedback! I'm editing right now actually so changing it immediately :D Thanks for watching! Enjoy the beach ;)

    Hello! I have experience running social media accounts for a digital marketing company but I want to do it more freelance to create a better schedule for myself. Where do you recommend to find companies or brands that are looking for people to run there social media accounts? Much love 💛

    • @digitalnomadgirl
      @digitalnomadgirl  7 лет назад

      That sounds brilliant! A lot of people I know do that as work :) I wonder if you could pair up with someone else - e.g. a PR who works with small brands, or a website designer. If their clients are the same as yours it could be a great partnership! Where are you based?

    • @katrinapayne3185

      Thats a great idea! Thank you, I didn't even think about that. I'm based in the US, I could probably look for some connections on linkedin.

    Too bad the road on the background was so noisy, I barely can hear anything. Not easy to keep up when you are not native english speaker and the audio quality is weak.
    Otherwise I'd have watched it all, as it seed really interesting. Sorry.

      Hey - totally agree!! Thought I'd try filming outside (and I edited out the worst traffic sounds) but it's way too noisy still. Haven't filmed outside again since! Thanks for stopping by anyway - and check out my other videos for much better sound quality :)

    Thanks for the video, was really excited... but barely hear you and the background noise is very distracting. Was really hard to read the questions, too. I am not native but usually never have problem with understanding.

    Hi Louise...I am a Spanish native speaker...but I speak perfect English...I am keen to do the Digital Nomad...but that thing that said that it is difficult to get jobs through Upwork since you are not an English native speaker let me a little bit disappointed...Could you do a video regarding this???? Pretty sure will be too many viewers :)

    • @digitalnomadgirl
      @digitalnomadgirl  7 лет назад

      Hi! Sure thing :) What would you be thinking of doing as work? Translating?

    • @musavillarin6102
      @musavillarin6102 7 лет назад

      I used to translate from English into Spanish and Italian when I was working in Cyprus for a betting site but I dont hold a degree in that and I am not pretty good in that....Look my LinkedIn profile www.linkedin.com/in/diego-de-la-morena-0b523113/ now I am currently working in another top firm in Ireland doing the same as my previous role...But the Irish weather is terrible and I like the LOCATION independence term
