+Jessica E. Rohr thanks so much! That's definitely my aim!! It doesn't need to be a huge decision... You can always just go back home and get a job again. I want to try and take the fear out :)
Great video Louise! Although I'm not a nomad, I have made money online since 2015 and it is in fact great to be able to have the flexibility to do a number of things. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I'm working on the remote island of St Helen in the South Atlantic a as a midwife (thankfully a job that you can do from pretty much anywhere!). I am blogging about my time here to this fantastic, unique location. Would love to expand my blog/vloging adventure as travel is my no1 passion :-) . My website is here at voyagingvictoria.com. Looking forward to more of your videos Louise.
Digital Nomad Girl ...it's Wordpress but wonderfully designed by a graphic designer and website developer. You should have seen it before. Let's just say it looks a lot better now! You've given me lots of ideas to take my blogs forward and earn extra income like the udemy courses. :-) love the endless possibilities online
I agree! My pre-nomad career was pretty short but already very varied!! You never know where things will head.... I wonder if I could make DigNom take off.... #WeAreSoRed
You've had such an interesting career 😆 and you're so brave for just going for it without a set plan. Chiang Mai sure does seem like a magical Digital-Nomad start up place... I was thinking of going to Central America from August/Sept but now I'm wondering if I should head back to Thailand instead 🤔🤔 x
Yeah it was quite scary! I definitely wouldn't recommend it without having some savings. It is super cheap but you still need money to live, orrrr a plan! lol. CM, or other places in Thailand, are a super awesome place to start. But also check out nomadlist.com for ideas on where there are a lot of nomads. As long as there are good coworking spaces with a strong social scene you will be able to learn from other :) But in CM it all falls into your lap!
Very true, luckily I have both 😅 Wow, what a great resource, you can even filter out for surfing 🙌 Trust digital nomads to come up with a handy website like that haha
Haha - exactly! I find the price estimate to not always be quite right (I guess everyone spends different amounts anyway) but it's a really great starting point :D
Probably gonna jump on one of these to begin with: topalternatives.com/coworking-vacations-entrepreneurs-digital-nomads/ hopefully in Asia or South America :-).
You're really convincing me to move to Chang Mai! Lol. Another great video! How long did it take for sales to come in after you created your first Udemy course? And did you do any promotions for the course?
Haha - thanks!! We absolutely love it there so I'm biased ;) I'm actually going to film a "behind the scenes" inside my Udemy earnings so keep an eye out for that :) There is quite a large delay with Udemy payment (around 60 days) so be aware of that on your first one!! I don't do much promotion - just get a few early reviews (first 48 hours ideally) from fans/friends/subscribers. After that I leave it to build on it's own! What course have you got in mind?
I am so inspired by your video to actually give digital nomadism a go, finally 🙊 I've been following the movement since about three to four yrs now but since I'm only 19 and still in german high school I had to focus on school and studying. in two days I'll be having my last exam and afterwards I'm basically free. I've been thinking about how to earn money online as a person without any degree at all and only basic knowledge about how to blog or how to *insert job possibility as a digital nomad here* 🙈 I feel like without any knowledge at all it's super difficult to actually be a digital nomad. I'm eager to find a way and I'm so into the idea that I'd love to work my ass off for it but without a business idea it's hard 😭 any tips for someone like me lol? like how the heck do I find something that I'll either be able to learn quickly without needing to spend money on it (i have never worked before so I basically have no money) or be able to already do 🙁 I'm kinda lost lol
Hey! So great that you'd like to look in to earning online :) Did you see my video of 50 ideas for nomad jobs? Perhaps you could also have a browse on Upwork to see if anything catches you eye that you think you could do? E.g. PA or Admin work? Finally, there are lots of good courses on Udemy that are on special offer for $10 if you want to learn something like affiliate marketing. Be careful which one you choose though as not all teachers are created equal!! And some businesses will cost money to set up too. What do you think?
This video was wonderful! I have some questions about your lifestyle : 1) do you have to declare your revenue? I guess yes, but where? In UK? Or where you live or...? And how does the taxation of your activities work? Isn't it too heavy? 2) As a nomad, do you have social security and stuff like that? 3) Is it possible to save money on a digital lifestyle or are the incomes just enough for living or need to be reinvest? Thanks a lot! I think your channel is one of the best, most honest and realistic channel about digital nomad on RUclips! :D
Fantastic! It's not for everyone and it has it's downsides but I think it's great to let more people know that it's at least an option :) Let me know how it goes!
How does being a digital nomad work as far as taxes are concerned in your country? I'm from the US so they make us pay taxes even if we work in another country.
It depends on your country! But yes America is generally seen as the hardest one. I don't know a lot about it but I think lots of American nomads get a dellaware company and then reroute from there? It's not my area of expertise to be honest!
Hello there, my name is Elisa and I am an Italian girl. I am a freelance translator and let me tell you that: you're living my dream! I would ask you wheter you'd want to become my "digital nomad guru" :)
Loved this! Awesome video Louise :)
Thanks so much my love
Sooooo awesome to hear your story. Makes it sound more doable!
+Jessica E. Rohr thanks so much! That's definitely my aim!! It doesn't need to be a huge decision... You can always just go back home and get a job again. I want to try and take the fear out :)

All good! I'm gonna be digital nomadding here and there from August onwards actually, I'll let you know if I stop by Chiang Mai!

Probably gonna jump on one of these to begin with: topalternatives.com/coworking-vacations-entrepreneurs-digital-nomads/ hopefully in Asia or South America :-).
Cool! That's a great list :) I've never done one so I'll be intrigued to hear how it goes!

you can start with dropshipping too, try it!
Sure can! Has worked for a lot of people :) Just do plenty of research before you make your first move! Good luck!

Thanks for your answer. It really makes me think about the possibility to adopt this lifestyle too! :D
Fantastic! It's not for everyone and it has it's downsides but I think it's great to let more people know that it's at least an option :) Let me know how it goes!
You are amazing! But you slightly terrify me with your braveness haha!
Haha - oh bless you! Hopefully it'll be contagious when I see you in the summer ;) Hope all is well!
Digital Nomad Girl That is what terrifies me most!
Ahaha! Let's make some rash decisions together!! lol
