Island Hopping Starts Now, Off To Tioman Island - Mainland Malaysia 10

In this video it is time to leave the city and get tropical!
I leave the magical city of Malacca and make a 5 hour journey to Mersing. There a local ferry takes me to a well known scuba diving island called Tioman. I have explored both the West coast
and central cities of Malaysia. Therefore, it is time to see what the East coast will bring us! We are officially island hopping!

Thanks for this video, nice to see the changes on the island. I visited Tioman, Salang Beach in 1989 and 90 and back than they had no cars on the island, but it was so great. I hope to come back one time. Take care and keep going with the beautiful videos,

Back in the 70'S and 80'S when i was living in Singapore, [oilfield diver],i had a sail boat, and between job's i would sail up to Tioman, anchor in front of the only hotel on the island, there was nothing on the east coast of Tioman back then, good times, i sailed both coast's over the year's, anchoring pretty much at each island, all the way to Thailand, hardly ever saw any other boat's, as the area hadn't been discovered yet, have fun.

Tioman Island is a stunner. We went there and intended to spend three nights , we ended up staying 15 nights. I was very upset upon leaving. The second time we returned for 6 nights . A very special place .
