Thank you for sharing this recipe. We are just starting our wheat harvest which means I’m going to be hauling lunch and supper to the fields. I will be making this for one of their treats. ❤😊
Hi Meredithlynn! Is it wheat harvest already? I'm sure the hands out in the fields really appreciate the food you take out to them! Talk about hard work - thank goodness for farmers! Thank you!
This would be perfect to make for my family; my parents and a few of my siblings like pineapple though I am not a fan. Great job demonstrating the recipe step by step as always. :)
As soon as I read the title under the thumbnail I said to myself “he said he was going to make those!“😂 I really like that you’re cooking from one of your cookbooks! I’m all for it! I would love to see more!
Yum! I can’t wait to try this and I even have the 11x7 Pyrex from my grandma! I know it’ll be great. I recently made the blueberry buckle and it was a hit and so was your green onion dip! I make that every Friday for our friends get together because if I don’t, friends get mad!😂 Have a wonderful Memorial Weekend and thanks Kevin and MaryAnn for the video!🇺🇸
Hi Judy! How wonderful that you have grandma's 11x7 Pyrex! It's a great size for a lot of things. Thanks for trying the other recipes and I'm glad they were a hit with Friday friends! Have a great holiday weekend!
Thank you for following thru making this bar. Active baker/cook since 7 years old (foodie), have entire pyrex casserole set(s) - including the 11x7. And Foley measuring cups. Making this receipe while texting being a 'pineappley' person myself. Love this channel.
These bars look great, cannot wait to try them(maybe with some chopped macadamias added?) For me, I'd UPsize the baking pan to a 9x13, and increase the recipe by 50%. Who WOULDN'T like half again as many of these bars anyway??? 😋
Hi quiltguy! I love your idea of upsizing the recipe to fit a 9x13 - great idea! More is more! Some chopped macadamias would add a nice crunch. Thanks!
Thanks for making this vintage recipe! It looks delicious. I’m going to try this with one addition…a half cup of coconut to the pineapple mixture for a little texture and flavor boost. Your kitchen is wonderful, especially that stove!
Hi Mike - metal measuring cups are usually embossed with the sizes so it never wears off. Or keep your eye out when your thrifting - I often see old metal sets. Thanks!

Hi Shiela - when I saw the recipe with the word "pineapple" in it that convinced me! So glad I made these! Thanks!
I will have to try this soon. I might add a pinch or two of cinnamon to the oatmeal base. Cinnamon, brown sugar, and pineapple are always a winner. 👌
Hi russbear - cinnamon would be a great addition! Thanks!

Hi Victoria! It's hard to stick to the diet with all these temptations! I gave half the pan away to friends so I wouldn't eat it all! Thanks!

where is Ralph is he ok.?
Hi - Ralph is going great! He's in a real busy season with his work but he'll join me for a video when his schedule allows. Thanks!
I need some measuring cups with the size permanently stamped Into them. I have some plastic Dollar Tree ones and the printed sizes are all rubbed off.
Amazon has stainless steel with the size embossed on the outside and handle. Not expensive either.
Hi Mike - metal measuring cups are usually embossed with the sizes so it never wears off. Or keep your eye out when your thrifting - I often see old metal sets. Thanks!
Got some Foley measuring cups at the thrift store yesterday. Now I am official.
@@MiddleAgeMike Wonderful! Now you've got the best equipment!! So glad you found some, Mike!
