Real nice videos today, Matt! Oh, wow! The ice sure makes me cold just watching it ! Nice to see the little one . Has she the interest of flying yet? Oh, I wanted to ask you, what is the name of that river? Well, things are really heating up here in South Carolina politically and weather wise. Haven't seen snow in about 10 years! However, you see politicians all the time!😂 I suppose one could say they are like snow: flaky and blow wherever the wind blows!!!😂😂😂 Again, thanks for the ride. I appreciate it!!!😎👍
Thanks for the video! My 701 is in for annual. Looking forward to getting it back in the air. Id love to do an ice landing, but we are having an unusually open winter.
Awesome! That looks like so much fun. I’ve never landed on the ice but would love to give it a try. Closest for me is Alton Bay NH…..still a hike from LI but definitely on the ole bucket list! Good camera work Matt!
Good morning Matt. I enjoyed the video. Gotta love ice flying and landings. It’s a blast for sure.. I like to call the frozen rivers and lakes “The endless runway” it sure is a good time. The 70Fun is a great plane.. my brother has been doing tons of lake flying/Landings in Ontario this year in the 70Fun . I really enjoy his plane when I’m there. Cheers
Greetings from Toronto...thank you for the ride. so 'in your face' clarity viewing from my new OLED screen. ya got to get one to believe the definition. Anyway, question: noticed your starboard (right) side top wing skin showing a slight 'distortion' as if wing had a prior 'wing strike' incident of sort. would like your input for im just constantly sharpening/calibrating my pre-flight inspection 'eyes' by bouncing off anything i notice off of experts such as yourself. Hope to fly along side with you in the near future..God Bless..B
It's a standard landing pattern defined by the aviation regulations at uncontrolled airports. This way other pilots know where to expect to see any other plane also coming in to land.
It's a Zenith 701. Video description has more details on the plane. Costs vary but you should be able to research that now that you know what it is. :)
Your take off rolls tell the story of the headwind. Fun!
Yes would love to see that little aviator ride along sometime. She is cute as a bug. No cuter than that

Gotta appreciate the whole cautious but adventurous mindset.
Also, adorable kid aka future aviator.
Upload more videos like this as much as you can this is so cool, you make me dream 🧊
Oh boy I can’t imagine the feeling of flying that close to the ground when turning so much fun
That looks like a ton of fun.

I like to use our local river to fly RC models in the winter. The only problem is it gets pretty rough with footprints.

That's a common "feature" of 701s as I understand it. It's not damaged or defective or anything, the skin just wrinkles a bit under load.
My goodness who needs a helicopter when you got a plane like that
Just so enjoyed this video. The Zeneth just jumps off the ground. What engine do you have in it? It seems your off the ground in less than 100 ft
Nice video again Matt
Love it !
Another great video. Which cameras are you using?
DJI Osmo Action 1s except for the tail view which is a DJI Osmo Action 3.
Speaking of the Beaver, whe is it, I have not seen ot in your hanger.
It's in the other hangar. I'll be back on video this summer probably once it warms up a bit. Lol
why do you always do a left hand approach when landing,

What plane is that and about how much ?

you dont do gun video animore ?
Not often. I might this summer though if anything interesting that's gun related happens.
If the ice is not thick enough gurgle up your last message to youtube.
.
This channel and Blancolirio are my most watched aviation channels. Hopefully you two never collaborate.
