tekken 7s input history was way better and less confusing. tekken 8s is more detailed which is useful in some cases but they should have also kept an option to use the one from tekken 7
@@sun4188seriously I understand the appeal of the vertical command history since you can have 2 players in practice and look at their inputs at the same time but it's kind of hard to follow compared to the t7 one

Tbh, imo if Steve gets too many buffs, everybody is going to flock to him because he’ll be that OP. You can autopilot your way with him to red ranks. Beyond that, a lot of matches are gonna depend on your opponent making mistakes.
Counter hits give back, lows have to stay low damage or you kill his identity and his main weakness which is a fair one considering he’s a boxer who shouldn’t be an expert on lows as. His ones are fine especially d2,1 which is one of the best lows to be honest since it’s safe.
His only low which needs to be buffed is qcf 2, that move has no business being -18 for how little damage it does, with no ch property. I agree he does need a mid ch launch though, df2 shiro combo was so technically demanding that it should never have been removed. Bring back df2, ws2 or b2. Just need one tbh
uhhh reading another comm it seems like its an exec and timing thing, the std input is FC DF2 but they do it by doing a flicker stance cancel (similar concept as Lees mist step cancel) i assume when you cancel flicker it puts you in a crouching state and you can transition that into FC DF2
At what frame can you use the launcher? I understand it's 16 f or whatever but how many frames are the input, basically what frames negative can Steve really launch at? In standing?
I doubt it's shorter than 2 frames, it's honestly better to just use uf2 as a standing launch punish for slow moves and to use fc df2 to interrupt high strings or punish slow lows instead
Kinda it’s annoying dealing with characters who out range you and are faster but with matchup experience you gain a timing and you can punish for a lot of damage but get good at your neutral and spacing before combo hunting
Yea but its a full crouch move...thats why he had to go into flicker stance first...cancel into duck by holding down back and then move to the full crouch down forward input...by that point its no longer 17 frames its more coz of the inputs
No i just tested it in training mode its minus 20 or 22 you can quickly cancel into peekaboo then press up 2. It does 2 more damage then this combo 78 no wall and its easier to execute
@@epicwuexcaliburumbra1736 i mean hes not wrong, character may be hard to play, but he barely requires any execution compared to the last game, like df2 ch into ws 12 can be done after few minutes of practice and so are b2 or heat throw1 into pab f1+2

Can we please get a tutorial for instant FC DF2 with Steve?
Go into flicker then b,db,d,df 2 the down back intantly put you in crouch state and when you hit d, df that part is the immediate fc.
he needs more buffs more damage in his lows and give him his counter hits back he is not the counter hit paragon

its really not THAT hard ^^ taunt jet-upper is WAY harder, imo
just checking if i understand what i'm seeing... its FC df2, but from an instant crouch cancel from Hitman stance? pretty insane either way
basically when you cancel flicker stance you're instantly in full crouch so you can input df2 and do the launcher without waiting
@Zawaa-el2hy637 ooooo, allright now I understand, I was trying to figure out what I was seeing from this.
And I thought EWGFing -13 lows is hard.
As a non Steve player, why is this considered extremely hard? Is it an execution thing or a timing based input?
uhhh reading another comm it seems like its an exec and timing thing, the std input is FC DF2 but they do it by doing a flicker stance cancel (similar concept as Lees mist step cancel) i assume when you cancel flicker it puts you in a crouching state and you can transition that into FC DF2

why go for it instead of pab u2 or df2?
Yeah thats like 10 times easier to do, whats the point i don't get it
Do I really have to learn this?😭
I just started playing as Steve😭
Kinda it’s annoying dealing with characters who out range you and are faster but with matchup experience you gain a timing and you can punish for a lot of damage but get good at your neutral and spacing before combo hunting
ain't just while crouch df2?
Yep, the difficulty comes from doing it in a standing position, like an instant-full crouch.
Wait why do you specifically have to do jacks almost half circle input to get this launcher?
because it was actually a while crouching launcher, to do an instant while crouching steve can go to flicker and cancels it
@@Ojakzgamin see i tried it and youre right, tho i dont think you gotta do the exact almost half circle but it is the most reliable, feels cool too
@@HELLRAISER02 yeah you can just directly go to df2, but those notations are probably used by stick users

how you gonna post this with no input history? i don't even know which move is the one you're talking about lol
its full crouch df2. he accesses it by manually putting in flicker, cancelling it and then doing the move. in like one fluid motion.
I think was impossible.. but Tekken 8 Neme Steve.. is better than Tekken 7 Neme Steve.. C R A Z Y .
Isn't the upper cut better and easier? It's 17 frame punish and does more damage
