Because there's a lot of scripted stuff in these new games while in old Modern Warfare there isn't many scripted stuff so you can't softlock but you can glitch it or exploit your way out of the map or through out the mission
This is exactly what happened to me when I first played this mission. My first instinct was to run back inside the elevator as I had no gun and I was on Veteran, who wouldn’t do that? Then I was surprised when Hassan disappeared, only then did I realize I wasn’t supposed to go back in here and because I was given a new checkpoint inside the elevator I was fucked. Had to restart the entire level again, I was *pissed.*
So you thought the best action was to run into elevator with the man that’s trying to shoot you while the game is practically screaming at you to run away?
Worst part about this is that he reached a checkpoint inside the elevator, so going to the last checkpoint won’t work. He’ll have to restart the ENTIRE mission again.
@@ajstyles5970 It's definitely a callback within the context. Especially since this game features a lot of MW2019 callbacks regarding Price and Gaz's relationship/mentorship.
i did this my first time on veteran and got glitched stuck into it and had to restart the entire mission, lets just say this is the worst finale mission in cod history
I liked it! I liked how they incorporated the mechanics from the 'alone' mission to craft traps and stuff, also that its a 2 parter where first you have to detonate the missile and then kill the remaining enemies thats pretty unique i think! But i do get what you're saying the ending from Modern Warfare 3 was much more spectacular, (SPOILER) storming Macarov in Juggernaut suits and Price hanging him at the end that was so cool, casually lighting a cigar at the end, but this new ending was cool too. The whole game did some cool stuff but the writing and constant quips and catchphrases were very quirky
Yeah, I thought we’d kill shepherd. Hasan was a throw away of a bad guy. I disliked the cartel more than him. Hell, I didn’t even really see what effort went in to making him the antagonist
I did this by accident my first play through. I got stuck in the elevator with him. He aimed his rpg at me but I didn’t die we just kind of looked at each other till I restarted the mission.
I accidentally did this when I first played the campaign as well, I panicked seeing the two enemies shooting at me when I went outside the elevator. I thought I did a big brain move by doing it, only to be trapped inside the elevator… lol
What I can't understand is why the developers didn't think that the player might use the elevator to hide from the enemy and make some way of getting out of the elevator if the player did not leave the elevator if for some reason if they were AFK. Because as you can see the doors are programmed to close once the player leaves that elevator. So glad there is a restart option or load last checkpoint so that you can get out.
Did you know that when price mentioned a specific number of 30,000. I think this references to shepherd losing 30,000 men (in a blink of an eye) because of a nuke.

They should've made 2 endings like one is the ending that we have right now, and the other ending is a elevator fight with hassan and then we have to run and hide from him once we get to the 1st floor of the building
