Yeah, the old Tiesto was really the Trance king...now he is only a shadow...Armin is the showman of the moment...but I often catch myself listening to Innercity 2003 and 1999, along with Magic 6 Amsterdam and some others which I consider some of the best EVER in Trance music! Paul van Dyk was also a great guy in the Trance scene...He's got some really exciting sets like Dance Valley 2005 (one the best I've ever listened to), Mayday 2002, and Energy 2003, just cite some.
I don't know why but I can forever listen to some trance tunes and sets...maybe because Trance music has quite a connection with Classic music, which I also happen to love. The smooth progression and the diversity of creative and innovative sounds is just soooooo addictive! I listen to Trance almost everyday...not just when I go to a concert...because it flows through my soul...I can't tear apart such a beautiful connection...Cheers to Trance music!

I think Tiesto is the father of trance music, hovewer there were some other guys before him. But Tiesto made all my childhood and one part, huge part of me consists of trance energy. I hope he will return to pure trance music as he made it before. During this epic last briliant set of Tiesto. The woofers/speakers did not function from the midlle of the main. Indeed the moments before this happend the earth was not there annymore. Peole were dancing all over the place and the atmosphere was perfect. on every stage. (did it slowly die after this............ yes indeed halfway 2005 Trance was prenounced dead by the scene who raised it) From those moments of it was all mainstream sh*t.
i Was there that night. In the Rai AMsterdam. Tiesto his best set where i was at. It was amazing. Halfway his set. The speakers in the middle of the main stage suddenly stopped. So only in the front you could feel the base. That was a sad thing. Because never in his life has he played a better set where i was at.
I hope Tiesto wins DJ mag of the year. I voted for him only because he said he'd do another trance album. Right now, Armin's way ahead of him. Tiesto needs to return to his roots.
