In this vlog we will see train journey between Colombo and Kandy, in one of the oldest train in Sri Lanka. This is also the fastest train between Colombo and Kandy with 1 halt only. If you wish to visit Kandy, you can take this train.

I watched your three Sri Lanka Series vlogs after a gap but am sure that this was the last time because you do not put any effort in gathering knowledge and disseminating the same. The Tooth Relic Temple or Temple of the Tooth is a sacred place not only for Sri Lankan Buddhist but also for Buddhists around the world. It is always first in the itinerary of anyone visiting Kandy! You did not have any idea! Second, you crossed Peradeniya, a place well known for touristic activities as well as for academia. The list can go on (like in other Indian vlogs) which simply shows that viewership is giving you easy money through RUclips with which you are ONLY travelling. I am more surprised to see your repeated criticism of an Indian built train! How can you so foolishly comment on the same? Just ask yourself. Do read about a place, its history, culture, people... may be you will be less fooled where ever you travel next time.

@@TravelwithSoumit24 The one which you are critical of! I do know the ones built by ICF Chennai. That is why you should read... at least the plate in the trains informing its origin if not leading Indian daily(s).

Hi Soumit: Nice vlog of journey to Kandy (rhymes with the Hindi word "mandi"). Kandy seems to be beautiful place surrounded by mountains and full of greenery.
I think mandi is also a beautiful hillstation in india. And our kandy city is too. Actually british named this city as kandy, because it is located in hills, the sinhala word for hill is kandha. So the kandy word is derived from the sinhala word kandha.

If you have forex card just go with Commercial bank, when I was there in Sri Lanka around January, it helped me alot i got good conversion rate of 1INR was 4.2LKR and on internet it was showing 4.44 LKR ❤

Hyundai opened an assembly plant last month, Micro has an assembly plant, Bajaj has an assembly plant(owned by Sri Lankan Bajaj agent DPMC), Mahindra has an assembly plant (owned by Sri Lankan Mahindra agent) and Ashok Leyland has a bus body making factory in Sri Lanka.
Tuk tuks in Sri Lanka are assembled in Sri Lanka and parts are manufactured in India.

Sri Lanka have very old sleeper trains and people don't use them very much because Sri Lanka is a small country where you can get anywhere within 6 hours.
