It looks like the fun I used to have, and like yourself I used a 410, as well. However...., 4 misses.......?!? Once I was able to stay calm, and understand the concept of hitting a moving target, I became quite deadly w/ my pea-shooter. Last time I was out I got 7 rabbits, and that was the last time I hunted. I miss hunting.
Here in Michigan, just let the snow pack down all the grass and small bushes, and as soon as you jump a rabbit, you're not trying to see it in the overgrowth; it's dark on a white canvas, shoot to kill.....
Good deal! Teaching gun safety is so important. Even some of us seasoned hunters could do better with some refresher training! Good luck with your children!
