I'm a DotRat from way back. My family has lived on Freeport St., East St., Lyon St., Adams St., Bowdoin St., Hancock St., Bloomfield St. and South Sydney St. I remember when the traffic reports on the radio said, "Backed up past the gas tanks." Both of them.
@@BostonStreetsHighways I think I know why. If you merely "lived there" for a while as an adult but wasn't born and raised there, you wouldn't know the term. DotRats are born and bred (and buttah...) there. Dawt Ave.
i Grew up in the Codman Sq. section of Dorchester. Graduated from the now defunct "Dot High"" in '59. I prob wouldn't recognize the area today after moving out about 50 years ago. Had some great time on growing up there. Stick ball at the Jr. High school (had to climb the fence to get in) lol. Oh well, I'm 82 now and have no desire to drive by my old house at 12 Thane St.
You drove by my house on Whitfield Street in Dorchester, right at the circle. 😂
@@jubayarahmed342 Great. Thanks for watching.
I’m in the Codman Square area frequently.
Stay safe!

Nice tour of Dorchester.
Thanks for watching.
The architecture is very different than the city I live in which is Chicago. It looks very different from the Midwest I never knew.

I’ve been living in the Boston area for over 40 years, and things have changed a lot. Plenty of new construction.
Savin Hill area of Dorchester next?
I’ll try next time.
OTB (over the bridge)
DBC. ( Dorchester by choice) 😎
