It hurt my feelings seeing the refridge units on their sides being slid on unprotected surfaces. Get a uhaul and an appliance dolly. Maybe a few pads. Waaay better way of moving them. Don't need to be INC or LLC. As far as an EIN# just use SS# and still have a business membership in all places and not pay taxes. Pay for a per machine is BS. Glad it is not that way everywhere. All machines with a compressor in it to keep things cool when it has been laid on its side. It will need to be set upright for 24 hours before it is plugged in to run.

    • @ChromeVending
      @ChromeVending  5 лет назад +8

      You are absolutely correct, you don't need an INC or an LLC to operate legally, but if you are someone with assets, you probably aren't going to want to take the chance of not having one!
      And you don't NEED an EIN number because YES you CAN still file under your social security number, also true, BUT if you ever have a lawsuit against you, the suer can go after you and ALL of your assets and not just the business if you don't have one of the two so just keep that in mind! Legal regulations may differ from city to city and state to state, so just because your county, city or state may not require that you get a tax certificate (or maybe you just choose to operate without it) does not directly indicate this is untrue or "BS"! I always encourage positive comments and even negative if constructive, but I have to clarify when someone leaves a comment that is misleading to my viewers who may be interested in starting their own vending business 100% legitimately!
      It is true that once a soda machine is laid on it's side for relocation, it must be left upright for at least 12 hours (some believe 24-48 hours even) before plugging it in to prevent damage to the refrigeration system. I covered this in my transport video.
      I ran my business like how you described for my first year and learned along the way as different issues started to appear. My advice to anyone reading this comment is to do your own research and make your own decision as to what will work best for you in your area. Don't take anyone's word without looking it up yourself because that's the fastest way to end up in financial trouble or even worse, legal trouble! Research, Research, Research! 👍🏼

    • @jastekcameralive
      @jastekcameralive 5 лет назад +2

      @@ChromeVending There are ways to not let them take your personal things even if you don't have an LLC or INC. Like you said (Don't take anyone's word without looking it up yourself because that's the fastest way to end up in financial trouble ) that is why in the USA 3 out of 5 new businesses close doors within the first 3 years not doing their homework first. That is why I don't say things that is misleading. Great video by the way. I am thinking of getting back into the vending business. Did it years ago and rolling in 4K a month.

    when you find a location for your vending machines, do you have to pay the owner of the location some percent of the profit sense the vending machine is on their property?

    Hey Chrome this summer me and my cousin are starting our own vending machine business. I’m so excited and I planned on recording my journey and putting it on RUclips. I was wondering if you could help me grow my channel this summer? If not it’s ok but thank you for inspiring me to make my own business.

    Quick question when you find your location and speak to the owner do you need to pay rent for that space or do you just ask if you can use that space to grow your business?

    • @ChromeVending
      @ChromeVending  5 лет назад +3

      Every location will be different but I always try to avoid commissions everywhere. However different people choose to run their vending businesses differently.

    Do you give the store owners or the shop owners a percentage to incentivise them to allow to put a machine in or is it the kind of thing that they would allow you to do to boost morale or foot traffic in their locale?

      I'm in florida. I got my dolly at Walmart. I have a few videos on different ways I've moved my machines. Usually I just lift them in a truck bed myself. In the beginning I hired flatbed tow truck drivers.

    How much do you usually pay the people who host your machines in their buildings? I am getting ready to start a vending machine business and I want to know what is a fair commission to the business and to me so I don't get screwed.

      I was born and raised in Tallahassee. I started off with just a few machines myself, but the good thing is you can grow it as large or maintain it as small as you'd like. He had just message me.👍

    Hey Mike. I just came across where I can maybe get the vendstar 3000 @ a good cost. It's around $50 for a few. But no keys. So you think it's worth it? would the only way be drilling into it to replace the locks? I see you got a couple of vendstars machines, so i wanted to see what you thought about it. If it's worth getting it and buying the locks?

    • @ChromeVending
      @ChromeVending  5 лет назад +1

      How many are you getting for 50 bucks? You can go to a locksmith and get them to key locks for you or you can draw them out and get some new cam locks to replace them. If you can find out what number series the locks take oh, you can just order them from Amazon.

      @@ChromeVending Mike huge thanks for the info. So I went through and got a total of 10 from the guy at $250. The guy had them sitting for a while so they're pretty dirty and the canisters where the candy goes are pretty yellow. So what I'm going to try and do is save as many and set em up as many as possible.
      Any suggestions on how to save the ones with the yellow canisters? If not what I'm thinking is just keep them for parts, but I would love to try and save them too lol
      I also plan on going to the locksmith see what I can do about those locks. I'll keep you posted.

      I just started this week. I filed for my dba and selling permit online on legal zoom. Found a cheap soda and snack machine on offer up. And made a business page on fb and offer up telling people I will place a machine in their business for free and I already got offered 3 locations!!! Getting them moved in this week.
