Don't need to be INC or LLC. As far as an EIN# just use SS# and still have a business membership in all places and not pay taxes. Pay for a per machine is BS. Glad it is not that way everywhere. All machines with a compressor in it to keep things cool when it has been laid on its side. It will need to be set upright for 24 hours before it is plugged in to run.
You are absolutely correct, you don't need an INC or an LLC to operate legally, but if you are someone with assets, you probably aren't going to want to take the chance of not having one! And you don't NEED an EIN number because YES you CAN still file under your social security number, also true, BUT if you ever have a lawsuit against you, the suer can go after you and ALL of your assets and not just the business if you don't have one of the two so just keep that in mind! Legal regulations may differ from city to city and state to state, so just because your county, city or state may not require that you get a tax certificate (or maybe you just choose to operate without it) does not directly indicate this is untrue or "BS"! I always encourage positive comments and even negative if constructive, but I have to clarify when someone leaves a comment that is misleading to my viewers who may be interested in starting their own vending business 100% legitimately! It is true that once a soda machine is laid on it's side for relocation, it must be left upright for at least 12 hours (some believe 24-48 hours even) before plugging it in to prevent damage to the refrigeration system. I covered this in my transport video. I ran my business like how you described for my first year and learned along the way as different issues started to appear. My advice to anyone reading this comment is to do your own research and make your own decision as to what will work best for you in your area. when you find a location for your vending machines, do you have to pay the owner of the location some percent of the profit sense the vending machine is on their property?
Hey Chrome this summer me and my cousin are starting our own vending machine business. I’m so excited and I planned on recording my journey and putting it on RUclips. Quick question when you find your location and speak to the owner do you need to pay rent for that space or do you just ask if you can use that space to grow your business?
Every location will be different but I always try to avoid commissions everywhere. However different people choose to run their vending businesses differently.
Do you give the store owners or the shop owners a percentage to incentivise them to allow to put a machine in or is it the kind of thing that they would allow you to do to boost morale or foot traffic in their locale?
