Just wanted to say, personally I think you have a potentiality here to be like the next Typical Gamer cause he got big covering any gta 5 news, and with your unique perspective you already have a platform, like I’m no RUclipsr but I think now you’re like in your training arc ya know working on like engaging w the audience and refining retention stats etc. then when gta 6 comes out you can do lets plays and again since you’re a former rockstar dev it’ll attract a large audience. Im sure you thought of this but I thought maybe if I said something it’d like, boost your confidence in the idea or something like that. Best of luck to you though man! The work you did in gta 5 helped to make my teenage years a blast. I used to talk with friends about every single detail of gta 5 I could find and went on to put thousands of hours in the game 👍🏽

@@johanjonasson4188 GTA VI started development in 2014. Dan and Lazlo left in 2020, Michael Unsworth a few months ago. So you could expect the majority of the story would've been written before they quit. For RDR2 they had a rough script of the game within 2 years of starting development. Of course writing always continues. Even now they have a job offer open for "Associate Writer: Pedestrian & Ambient Dialogue"

I think the leak helped because if it had launched worldwide, the internet would have broken. People wouldn't have been able to view it once let alone over and over and over again. The staggered views enabled the internet/RUclips to handle the massive worldwide traffic.
Give over, the trailer launch was big yes but this is RUclips they handle billions of video views, it would have been no problem. Rockstar uploaded it to RUclips in advance so it was encoded and distributed around the world to their CDN, it would have been fine
It’s such a shame Dan Houser is no longer writing the GTA games. He IS Rockstar & GTA. I can’t lie and say I’m not a worried about the game even a little bit because he’s been integral to the identity of GTA. So many times we see companies get a change of hierarchy and they’re never the same and never as good as they once were. I’m hopeful Rockstar won’t change quality wise and the fact Sam is still heading the company gives me hope that he will quality control the game and make sure it is amazing and smart just like all the other GTAs.
It would be great for GTA 6 to go to its roots in the 3D universe and explore trust issues in criminal relationships. This was never explored in GTA 3 with Claude and Catalina. A heartbreaking betrayal hasn’t really been explored in the GTA 3D universe. Male main character working for police/undercover would be nice element.
I've got a theory that there's a third playable character in the trailer. There's a scene where two dudes, one with dreads and one with a bandana on shake hands. That cutscene feels too close up and significant to be an NPC interaction. Timestamp - 4:56
I remember those transition animations in GTA 5. The first few times you are like wow they are so cool. After 12 times you get bored of them and want it to be over ASAP so you can get on with the game... And when GTA Online kicks you out of lobby to story and those animations play, you feel like you wanna kill the dude who did them. lol
So, random add in. Gameplay where you switch between the protagonists have been done very well just like GTAV. Army of Two comes to mind. That sort of system in GTA would be amazing

It is a bit ironic that part of Rockstars secret actual target audience (teenagers-who technically aren’t supposed to be playing the game) is the one that leaked their secret stuff. Don’t worry, the amount of money they’ll make off of said restricted audience is going to more than make up for it 😅
The way RDR2 pushed the PS4/XOne, I have faith the same is true for VI with the PS5/Series, with ofc S being a downgrade. I'm excited to go back to Vice City. As for people who come and go in the game's history, I think things will be fine. Final Fantasy is still going strong even though a lot of its legacy people are long gone.
I think the pro series will put something out that’ll be perfect for this game. I have an Xbox series s just for 2k otherwise I use PC for almost everything else. Hopefully a i5 13600K and 4070 TI handles without any hiccups.

Here’s what my only concern is…the trailer to me was a bunch of cutscenes and wasn’t captured from in game footage..reminds me of how you were able to watch some of the videos from your laptop or phone on GTA V. This was the same way I felt with GTA V when that trailer came out and it turned out the only difference was the AI population count wasn’t true to trailer like people on the pier or beach.

As an actual developer, it irks me when I am being misled by video titles, and animators and designers are being called what they are not. A developer writes code. This guy doesn't write code; he animates. He is an animator. Would you also call the admin and HR people developers because they choose to work in the same industry? Where would you draw the line?

I think they should be able to handle a large map. As you mentioned about SSDs and current hardware, Absorb/MS was able to map Earth to scale in FS2020.

I wouldn't put that much weight behind BTS having the top spot for views. Record labels and influencers are notorious for using techniques like streaming farms to artificially inflate views. Music video also get a lot of their numbers from autoplays, so lots of those views didn't come from people specifically looking for the new BTS music video, but I'm pretty sure view for GTA VI trailer 1 was deliberate. Also, if you ad the view Rockstar lost to GameSpot, IGN, and other gaming news outlets, they firmly beat the record by at least 10 million.
After owning all the vehicle businesses I still can't hijack a parked car without busting the window! And I feel Rockstar should have done this business for Franklin as base game or DLC. I like the DLC but I would tweek a few variables. 8/10
I’ve seen a lot of people not understand that gta 5 was maxing PS3, and that there have been 2 massive generational leaps of console. Personally I don’t think current gen will have any issue getting 60fps with GTA6.
Side note: I 100% GTA 5 on Xbox 360. Right now I’m doing it again but on Xbox One. No cheats, no guides, no maps.. 1st time took me like a solid year of unemployed gaming 😂
