I too got sober and refound God and before I picked up my bible I read a child's bible that was on my self too praise God I have been sober for many years now and learning about Jesus but with a childlike mind he awes me like a child at Christmas

Gods with u always brother let him heal you and remember you don’t need to be perfect all the time God loves you and sees you through the lense of the blood of Jesus if u believe he died for you bro your saved now it’s time to just be patient with the Holy Spirit and most importantly yourself my brother I hope this encourages you, God Bless!!
Biblically when somebody speaks in tongues, there has to be someone with the gift of prophecy to translate it. Also, I'm on the side of Calvinism, where with the cessation and canonization of the New Testament, there is no more need for tongues, or prophecy because God has fulfilled his glory through Christ. It is good that you are discerning, as we all have to be careful of wolves in sheep clothing, and those who pedal the word of God for their own profit.
Okay.. but what if im accepting something i know not? It all feels do good and so right, or at least truthful, but there are also many other cults that have said same.. help me trust and be happy with my decision.
