damn for some reason this video feels like the end of sfv era for me, its like at the end of the olympic games when they make a highlight showing great and memorable moments of the event, this sums up sfv learning journey brilliantly
2:28 What do you mean impulsive? Every ryu i know plays like this I loved this video format, you sound like a discovery channel narrator talking about wildlife habits.
Very cool! Got bodied by a plat the other day who was simply using straightforward high-damage options combined with heavy blocking. Fundamentals go a long way towards ranking up!
And then you have the lowly Bronze players who are secretly diamond players who don't rank up. And then you have folks like me, the ambiguous random who can be considered at most a ultra silver - gold in Super bronze clothing.
Great personal views of each league &, as noted by others, very technical. Would you consider linking previous videos of your own or others' which can assist in understanding technical references made within this video?
Super dope. Both answers and brings up a lot of questions. Like where do we go to learn about V-trigger activation and getting better at it? Where do we go to learn about match-ups and how to approach certain characters? Of course we have an idea of how these things are done, but I've never seen anything concrete saying YES that was a great time to use your v-trigger or the opposite.
The problem with having such easy access to information is that theres sooo much of it that the good stuff can be hard to find. But I think any video will likely lead you in the right direction.
@@StackBradford we greatly appreciate you and you hard work. I know making these videos can be time consuming, but this content some of the best for fighting games in general
Learning when to use your different anti airs , know when to give up your vtrigger if you are getting blendered. Sometimes is worth spending the 1 red bar to get out of the corner , even if it means you can't activate as soon. learning your optimal anti airs are especially important on Oro , as he gets ALOT on anti air conversions. And in general Oro is quite a complex character. Even if you strip away his vtrigger.
If that's a genuine question you should look up for basic fighting games terminology, exdp is basically a stronger version of dp (dragon punch= shoryuken) and oki, well you'd have to find out haha Stack here mentions a lot of technical terminology you should learn and will help you.
After playing for some time and having reached platinum rank with Ryu, this game feels kinda of a joke to me. 80% of the players are monkey jumpers. 90% of the characters have heavy gimmicks mechanics. People are unable to see that, like it goes from simple details like having an enourmous reach, or normal anti air with a hitbox that hits the opponent on crossup, air strike that doesn't hit on crouched opponent. "Just learn how to DP bro", meanwhile the monkeys change their air trajectory. A lot of 'safe moves', teleporting. Characters with a bunch of plus frames, it's never your turn to play. "Just v-reversal bro" and lose your comeback mechanics

Well we are getting there, but on the other hand the update came out right after this video!
It's cool watching these replays as an Akuma main. I feel like I'm looking at my past and then my future.

Fabulous info/advice. Great to know what I need to be working on. TYVM.
This was fantastic! Thank you so much. Spot on! 👏👏👏
Enjoyed watching this. Great commentary too. Liked and subscribed 👍
Thanks!
02:55 Hey, I've fought BRADYOMG. Cool Ryu.
Amazing information. You're very technical.

Everything here was right except that one ken and ryu main who always wakes up DP and still gets to diamond league
lol

This is a fantastic video. Excellent content fr fr
We need all Ken's video, thanks. Salute from Italy
Badge lookin' shiny
Why didn't you use me as an example of struggling to dp?
I don't play SFV but this can be easily applied to any fighting game. 👍
Stack, has your uncle that works at capcom told you what day the patch is coming out? Did I miss a date somewhere?
I told him to release the trailer immediately after this video and he did
@@StackBradford the FGC owes you a great debt
Would he curious to see this for Ken
that's losing the point of the video unfortunately
Funny how alot of people dont even play like that in silver. I run into alot of smurfs on alt account
i always hear that complaint but rarely see it
Very well made video
Nice video bro
Thanks
Excellence as usual! 👌
How would this apply to Oro? He kinda always uses v-trigger so how would the learning process change with him?

Yea but this is complicated…. I need something easy, like one simple trick to get better… :)
Great video

Okay what the hell is an extp punish? And what’s oki?

Just live to play the game and spend hours labing stuff, yeah, no thanks
git gud

It's a joke to you how much work the game takes? I actually kind of agree with that honestly.
@@StackBradford what work? If I "git gud" as the other silly boy said, it means I'll just beat the above avg player. What a big achievement!
Nice
Sadly this video doesn't help me at all.
Well I guess you should look around for that one simple trick!
@@StackBradford do you have any trick on how to make fighting Ryu & ken players a fun experience
