You are a wonderful teacher never assuming we know sewing terminology. I want this to help protect my hair from friction and falling out while sleeping. Great gift Idea and a way for me to use my fabric stash; my goal in 2020.
OMG, you have NO IDEA how much I need this! I purchased 2 of these a few years ago for my natural curly hair and they are not cheap. They have elastic bands on one end. I use mine when I’m sleeping and for protective styling. Now I can make my own using your tutorial in whatever colors I want. I am so saving this. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing Vanessa!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I have an in home cookie business and need something like this to keep my hair up and out of my face and more importantly the cookies and icing. Thank you soo so much!!!
Haven’t been to ur channel in a while I forget what an amazing‘teacher’ u are!!!! this Is an uber simple project yet I learned little gems here and there u are so good THANK U 🙏🏽
Awesome! You always come through! I've ordered so many of these and have planned to make one (some) for years. Now that you've posted your tutorial, I'm going to actually get it done. I love wearing them. My son, my daughter, and I all have locs. He sleeps in one with a closed, and my daughter and I wear this type at night as a head covering and during the day as an accessory. I even bought a pattern years ago from an Etsy seller, but your tutorial is the final push I needed to get some made.
Thank you, so glad I ran across this! My grand daughters have natural curly hair and ware hair wraps, but have to tie them up. This looks great for them.
Hi, I will certainly make this, great idea. I had surgery for a benign brain tumor 5 years ago, and also had to have radiation treatments, so I lost some hair. So depressing, I have been wearing thes e knit caps from Walmart, but they only come in three colors, now I can make a variety of caps. I've tried wigs, but here in Arizona that gets kind of hot. Thanks so much for this idea. I'm going to make one for my great grandson.
I will be making several of these, thank you! I wear my hair natural and love to wear "scarfs" in styling it. I also have a friend going through chemo I'll be sending one to.
Thank you!!! I have very long waist length locs.. I can't believe I hadn't seen something like this sooner.. Also, very surprise i never thought of it myself..lol. Excellent idea. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love your videos. Your videos help me teach my FAMILY and Consumer Ed classes. Thanks for all your help! I will definitely be sharing your RUclips channel to the Family Consumer Teachers FB page!
I have long curly hair and I put it up in a hair band at night but I always have short hairs at my temples. I think I toss and turn and possibly break my hair. I'm going to try this and have granddaughters that might like them as well - even though only one has curly hair! Thanks for sharing, Vanessa!
I have very long straight hair, which often gets loose from my ties. I also work outside (archaeologist) where it is really dusty sometimes. I really like this, you could even makes it out of towelling for wet hair. Nice.
Great awesome tutorial. Was wondering if you make them to sell as well on your webpage. Love these my hair is always on me face. And my daughter had tons of hair lol
I am trying to find the video for the HARVEST TIME APRON... from the FLASH SALE FRIDAY BUNDLE that I purchased a while back... could you help me find it Vanessa??? Thanks. Nancy
Do you have a video that shows you how to download designs to usb stick? I have a se600 embroidery machine and I"ve watched many youtube ones but, still can't understand it. I would appreciate any help. Thank you!
You can use the server for the one side seam that is concealed but I would still use a sewing machine or coverstitch to hem the open ends of the tube. 👍🏽
Hey there I purchased material from you to make these absolutely do not fit. I tried doing them both ways nope. It is totally not as loose as yours even around the neck my chokes me help
Kelly Ruther Maybe it’s more of a head-shape thing and not so much a hair thing. My hair is naturally straight and very fine, so yes that is obviously a factor but I know of other women with my same hair type and they wear head ties and cute head bands and whatnot with no problem because their heads are just differently shaped 😢
I'm about to make about a hundred of these for my daughter and grandgirls! Bless you!
Please do!
Beutifully articulated and informative. Perfect! Thank you ❤️

What a great video! I need one of these when I'm cutting out fabric! I'm growing out my bangs so this would be perfect to keep my hair out of my face.
Very nice video. This is easy to make and very practical. These would make great little presents to hand out. Thanks for the video.

This is awesome! Thank you for the video! Can you share how to add a satin or silk lining for coily hair? Thanks again!!
I have very long straight hair, which often gets loose from my ties. I also work outside (archaeologist) where it is really dusty sometimes. I really like this, you could even makes it out of towelling for wet hair. Nice.
Thank you, I didn’t know there was such a thing. Super easy!!
Thank you for this tutorial. I’m going on holiday in 10 days’ time and I’m going to make a few of these.
I might try one for my bald head. I've been thinking what can I do that would keep my head warm but be fun. Like this idea
Great tutorial!! Thank you for sharing your know how! I plan to make a few of these to keep my long hair tamed while cooking.
Love the way it looks. I think I’ll wear it for bed and on bad hair days :).

Good idea. I have such short hair I do not need one but I have family who can. I will make some for them.
Also great for someone that have lost their. I use to wear these all the time
I love that I want one..
Hi Vanessa! Did I imagine it or did you have a tutorial, albeit short of a similar fabric design used as a cowl-like-mask??
Thanks again for a fantastic video. 🇨🇦
So cool. Been looking for something like this. Gracias. Gonna make it soon
awesome hair wrap!
This is great!! Thank you so much Vanessa!
Love It!!! Thank You!!! 😊
Thank you!!!
Craftygemini, I have been looking for a way to make an apron. Would please do a tutorial? Thank you. An easy one. 😊
Thank you so much for this video!
What about silk wraps because other fabrics can take your hair out. What else can I use?
Great video.
Thank you this is awesome
Can you use stretch satin for this?
Prefect, thank you!!❤👍
Will you please do a tutorial on how to make a steering wheel cover
I am trying to find the video for the HARVEST TIME APRON... from the FLASH SALE FRIDAY BUNDLE that I purchased a while back... could you help me find it Vanessa??? Thanks. Nancy

Nice!
Hi Vanessa,
Sadonia here in Kansas City, do you have to hem the hair wrap?
You don’t have to buy it does give it a more finished look
@@TheCraftyGemini Thanks Vanessa.
Hi, is there any way that I can buy an already made hair wrap from you?
Can the DBP fabric be machine washed and machine dried?
I have fought with my curly hair my whole life. I will try the sleep tube
I love it 👍👍👏👏💪
is there a more eco friendly fabric you would recommend?
Cotton spandex would work.
How can I go about adding a satin lining I know its 2 different fabrics
I like the idea of when you're working out. The sweat won't run down the side of the face or forehead. Thank you for your time.
Can this be done on a serger?
You can use the server for the one side seam that is concealed but I would still use a sewing machine or coverstitch to hem the open ends of the tube. 👍🏽
I have silkier hair, nothing stays. Could I make it smaller so it will stay. I gave gay too !
Did anyone catch what size to cut for kids head as she show her child wearing one in video
16.5" x 13" for child. Longer side is stretchier. There is a link to this info in the description of this video that will be helpful
interesting

This could be used as a face mask.
Does it stay in? My hair NEVER lets head bands stay without sliding😔
Kelly Ruther Maybe it’s more of a head-shape thing and not so much a hair thing.

Greetings, can and how would you line this with silk. Thanks in advance
Can I line this with satin fabric hair, will it work since it's 2 different fsbrics
