Blocking for a frame in between blinks resets the two blink limit; also, the Lunge in the Finesse tree can cancel a lot of lengthy, otherwise un-cancellable (not sure if that's a word) moves, such as dodge attacks.

I have noticed that Elemental Damage works just as good as Bleeding or Piercing damage if you know how to apply it. For example,an Ice Barrage against a Sprite Flame Champion or a Niskaru Tyrant/Hyrnox not only staggers them, but the Vulnerable effect also applies extra Elemental Damage.
My first play through 8 years ago went full blown magic culminating in Archmage, awesome endgame build. Probably end up switching to this or Shadowcaster for end game this play through as I love these destinies. Playing a battlemage at the present, nice to mix it up and use a combination of armour and weapons. Love the choices this game gives you, it’s still one of my all time favourite games i don’t care that it looks dated as hell its awesome 😎
What I find annoying in this game, is that you're trying to dodge and the enemy still turns in your direction and still hits you. Not only that, but also sorcerers be casting spells and their spells be following you around most of the time. It's a great game in all, but some of these things can get annoying sometimes.
You have to close the distance against mage enemies. Get right in their face and try to stun lock them. Basically all their attacks can be interrupted. It can be difficult because their friends come and attack you in the back so you can't stay still for long.
I only notice this issue with wolves, yes they are $hit with their 90° instant turns. But magic attacks can easily be avoided. The moment they miss you, they take a giant arc to return. Mostly to vanish in mid air before they can. Crudoc missiles are easily avoided by rolling on the floor like a prick ~three times...
What;s annoying in this game is how bad your character locks onto the enemies, and can't even lock properly onto enemies vertically (if enemies are in higher elevation, forget about your skill hitting). that's why i stopped playing mage
Tbh. The dodge function in this game is very similar to dark souls, except even harder than Soulsbourne games because I-Frames don't exist. So you have to time dodges even better. Best advice I can say if you have trouble dodging, is to go for one of the sorcery destinies that have a blink, and instead of blinking away, blink through enemies. A lot of enemies have really good tracking but very few can completely turn 180⁰ in the middle of an attack.
Playing a Jack of all Trades build, similar to my last playthrough of the original KOA, and the main difference I'm seeing in very hard is the need for some defensive stats. Pro-tip: hammers and daggers are the highest damage weapons in the game by a massive margin. Especially with high crit chance.
If anyone has trouble, use charcasm(however they are called) , and either don't do the last hit or while you do the last combo cast spell to cancel animation. that's the safest because they are crowd control tools above else. Have them also with ice. You'll go slow and safe.
Mark of Flame is very useful for getting through the early game when most weapons take a lot of hits to defeat an enemy. This does not require a heavy skill tree investment and can be reset out if it becomes not as useful later in whatever your build is.
Fine guide. Very hard on PC is 100% a big step up from originale hard. Just the troll in the open scene is actually...very hard, compared to what Im used to.
@@xStorn99x ha thanks :P yea I play the game a bit. The remaster is quit good, but will admit...very hard does get a bit to easy once 25+ already. Granted still way better than originale.
I definitely want to see your build! Right now I am going full might with greatsword and do not really like any other might weapons so I am using my secondary slot as a stat stick.
Hammers are good for staggering bigger enemies. You need way less attacks, compared to a great sword. And the hammer does splash damage as well, when slamming it on the ground. When using a Electro Hammer, theres a good chance to stun an entire group of enemies when they are close to each other.
Daktaklakpak He said in the video all heavy weapons are bad at stunning enemies. I tried out the hammer though but it is too slow and has a small hit box. Longsword is ok I found two unique ones a fire one and a shock one but I restarted to play on very hard instead of hard because the game got too easy. I will try out hammer again I guess since I am not using anything else but I love the charge attack on greatsword and the hammer one seems shitty to me. Right now I am using the faeblades of song in my second slot which has +20 health and +10% physical damage and chance to stun (not sure the 10% applies to my greatsword attacks or not)
I'm also playing purely might, trying a longsword. It's like a greatsword, but faster and if you delay any of the hits minus the last one you can launch the enemy and combo them with either the longsword or the greatsword. I think they work well together.
MidnightChampion I actually don’t like the knock up attack it messes me up a lot. I tried doing it and switching to greatsword but they hit the ground before the greatsword attack lands. I had a lot of success using longsword most of the time and using different effects on my weapons I had Stormblade (shock) or Flameblade (Fire) and a unique poison greatsword called Havoc. So far I have not found any unique might weapons so I just put all my points into greatsword and relentless assault. I started out using might/finesse with daggers on this character but respeced back into pure might. Relentless assault is amazing but you take a lot of damage until you max it out (which I did asap)
Daktaklakpak I started using the hammer and the block combo smash attack (last hit) doesn’t do anything it has no hit box is that just me? Is it totally just glitched and always does nothing? I have been using hammer and chakrams but I think I like greatsword and staff more.
Ok, i will make ur lives a WHOLE LOT EASIER. relentless assault. Might tree. It gives you CC immunity. Also a large amount of the community dissing the hammers man . Im literally breezing thru very hard with relentless assault, the hammer (poison for enemy damage reduction and bloodletting for damage buff helps b4 ur ultimate build) and a pair of daggers. With some understanding of the hammer you wont get carried away with animations like with the greatsword. The hammer animations are short, moves are less and the damage is freaking huge. Just dash and interrupt with daggers and hammer them down. Or dash away, harpoon in a bloke, seperate him and wham him down, rinse and repeat
I wanted a tank that reflects damage without leaving the might tree so relentless assault was the skill i really wanted, both for utility and for the later abilities that it leads to. It also let's me sacrifice all this armour I have too much of in order to be more flexible, I like it. I also like the hammer after opening a window from block with the long sword.
im currently in my first playthrough ever (hard difficluty), im building full mage, aiming for the archmage destiny, should i use staff or chakrams as a primary weapon? thx
Whichever you prefer. I think chakram locks you in place more so than other weapons which wasn't my cup of tea this playthrough, but I remember loving them in 2012. I also really liked the scepter which I remember hating back in 2012... The staff is a very solid choice in my opinion, never wrong with one. Though, for elemental damage I noticed fire is the most effective overall and ice the most useful for the slow effect.
You can cancel the last attack animations with a spell or ability. Sure you can't cancel the ability animation either, but it can still be shorter than the weapon attack.
How fast did you get to max-level in your playthrough on very-hard? I never finished this game years ago due to the level 40 cap. I reached it about half-way through the game, thus ruining the sense of progression and reward with questing/combat etc. and got bored.
I also reached level 26 or so way faster than zone scales and haven't finished the game back then. Doing it now definitely feels more challenging I'm level 7 in Webwood by doing most of the quests and assume I'll be 10 going into Ettinmere to continue main quest. As of now enemies are still challenging even in starting area.
Dmytro Bogdan - Thats weird. I’m at 13 in webwood so kinda the same as the original. There are 3 more zones that are 2-13 I think. I’m playing on hard currently, thought I’d grab the trophy. Hope they didn’t just make the changes on v hard.
Infinite combo: Need a great sword Need a staff (Done in ps4) 3 hits with the greatsword, after the third, block and square with staff, and continue the combo like so.
I recently bought and got addicted to Kingdom Come Deliverance on Steam for a huge 50% discount and I am kind of surprised you haven't done any videos on this game. I mean it's one of the, if not, the biggest RPG games of the last decade. Would love your overall thoughts on the game and tips and tricks along the way.
Took some time to get there but I'm going for the universalist, using as main a longsword and secondary a bow. Had to reset my skills quite a few times.
They have average speed (the fastest might oriented weapon), and a nice combo as well. Longswords also have the most combat moves, if you invest a lot of points in the might skill tree. I kinda forgot to talk about them in the video, because I rarely used them.
@@click4gameplay Sounds like the long combo could be a deathwish against a group but great for single target paired with some stun capability like lightning or piercing damage augment. Thanks for your hard work in the video!
Honestly Longswords are my favorite, and in my opinion the best of the Might weapons. They have the best combo game and dont leave you open with heavy end lag. I find Greatsword is too slow and has huge end lag that equals getting hit. The hammer has Big single target Damage but it has a weak combo game and end lag. But ultimately, play what feels best for you. There is no definitive best weapon type in the game. They are all well balanced.
@@click4gameplay i have kingdoms of amalur- reckoning ps3 im max level 40 champion (might & sorcery) . i have question did kingdoms of amalur- remaster ps4 change max level 60 to get more skill points ?i will buy kingdoms of amalur remaster ps4. my favorit role playing games are the elder scrolls 5-skyrim ps4, dragon dogma- dark arisen ps4, kingdoms of amalur- reckoning ps4, diabo 3 ps4, divinity 2- the dragon knight saga xbox one , two worlds 2 ps3.
I respec from Greatsword Staff to Longsword+Chakrams a lot of mobility and longsword can rec enemies with the proper combos plus you have chakrams for that aoe fights
What about bows? Did I miss it? Fast, high piercing damage and great range. Not to mention multiple arrows and bleeding damage later. I usually start with a charged bow shot (which can stun) then throw a storm bolt (which can also stun) then dodge into melee range and attack. Then dodge out and repeat. But I usually play rogues with light armor and I am horrible at blocking so I've learned to stay away from enemies. But the bow, man. Maybe you missed it because it's so overpowered?
go blademaster use greatswords and longbow or feablades, stack crit and crit dmg and murder everything, next playthrough might try the thor build hammers and sorc lightening
Currently doing that... Nordic type of mage, ice and lightning magic only. Using hammer and staff, I figured ice element on second weapon really helps the hammer, though staff, magic and hammer are awful against armored enemies like trolls. So unless you like a challenge, combine hammer with daggers/faeblade/bow to avoid being countered and perhaps add bleeding to one of your weapons... Also ice is so very useful to land hits with the slow hammer. Fun weapon tho!!
Good tips, I didn't know some attack could be canceled with block animation, should experiment more. For easier early game I'd recommend to invest into bow mastery and kite bigger groups of enemies till 1-2 left then going into melee range combat.
People underestimate how powerful charged bow shots are. Even with few arrows, entire groups of Boggards and Elves can be eradicated. If not, just run away for a few seconds, and wait for your arrows to refill. And poison is your friend. Expose their weakness and stagger them to death.
Daggers more likely to cause stagger than a 2H hammer seems like a weird, counter-intuitive design choice. Specially since slower weapons makes you less mobile and staggering the enemy makes for a good trade-off.
Meh, you dont really need it. Blocking/countering is alot more effective as Might. Finesse needs the stagger effect more cuz they need to hit the target more to kill them and their block isnt nearly as strong. And Socery has range and spell effects built in. So it's well balanced really.
@@chrisg8989 finesse has faster attacks and animation so dodging seems like it would be easier and more effective than for might. When using daggers and the like, you're already faster and more responsive/reactive but if you can also stagger more, you won't need to as much as a 2H weapon user who needs to pick combo timings more and take advantage of the staggers to unleash full/longer combos. You might actually be right about the balancing thing. I'm just going by my memories of the original KoA where I found the already easy game much easier on other-than-2H weapon-might builds. Also, from an roleplaying perspective, daggers staggering more than big weapons seems off.
@@DmytroBogdan true. It's not really about the builds/trees skills per se but the weapons. Daggers are finesse weapons and do faster attacks/have faster animations. You are less committed to an animation when attacking with daggers so can respond faster thus, imho, don't need the opportunity a stagger provides as much as a slow 2H weapon user does. And of course, there's the element of a huge hammer to the face being less effective at staggering than a dagger
@@Norbingel have you tried something in the might tree called relentless assault? That thing gives cc immunity. You dont need your hammers to stagger enemies when that thing frikkin oneshots trolls while they are swinging at you. Hammers have way more dps over the daggers as well. Thats a gameplay perspective. The stagger on daggers are great for interruption and then leading to heavy weapon damage Ive known hammers to be better at stunning due to blunt trauma than a stagger effect. Serrated daggers have quite the stagger effect on soft tissue

I'm playing this game now for the first time, I'm about 10 hours in, and I had to bump it up from hard to very hard, ''hard'' was just too easy, but so far this difficulty level feels good, not frustratingly hard and not too easy. Hopefully I won't get so OP it that it can still be somewhat challenging late game, we'll see. I have already heard that crafting armor and weapons is extremely powerful, so I'm staying away from that and just using what I pick up.
@99bulldog as far as I can tell nothing has been dealt with except regions don’t level lock when you enter and the extra difficulty. Having said that I’m still over levelled at L14.
@@Fishster Man not exactly what I want out of a remaster. I'm glad I held out buying it. I guess if I want to play KoA I'll just reinstall the original.
The devs didn't change anything relevant in this game, aside from loot and enemy level cap. They didn't even bother to fix a single bug these POS azzholes! Not only that, i frequently encounter bugs i never had in the Original game. And i play that game since its first release 8 years ago. Currently im still stuck with One of the two Krast Daggers, because the first Dagger didn't drop. Can't complete this quest anymore. On a regular basis, my pants and legs are invisible. Simply loading the game makes half my lower body invisible. Reloading fixes it... till it happens again. The camera is a mess, getting stuck in terrain. Its nice to know, below ground there is nothing! Only empty space... Enemies sometimes don't act, like someone deactivated the AI or so. Keep in mind, aside from the camera getting stuck (maybe twice in the original), none of these bugs i've ever encountered in the original. And now they happen practically every time i play Re-Reckoning. The laziest and most bug ridden port i personally have ever played... F. THQ
I'm playing on hard and at 30th level it gets easy. If you Max out your blacksmithing and shard building you can build OP weapons and armor. I really like magic, daggers and bows combo.
I just completed the House of Ballads questline with a full sorcery build @ about level 20 and omg was the Maid of Windemere fight hard. A thresh an ancient leanashe and a squad of Sprites all why the Maid was launching massive one hit kill attacks at me. Only potions kept me alive. Damage resistance, health potions and damage boosters. Very Hard is nuts.
Try to get her health down to a reasonable degree, and then go full mana burn + reckoning against everything in this arena! If one Reckoning isn't enough, craft Reckoning Potions. Up to this point, you should have at least two times fate fabric or how its called. Unless you never use Reckoning mode that is... then it won't drop of course.
Even on very hard mode, a mage can stack damage runes and, with the help of a magic amplification potion, one shot Tirnoch with a meteor. All four phases can be destroyed in one attack.
Most annoying enemy in the game are the wolves. Their only attack is to run at you, and when you dodge, they instantly turn into your dodging direction without delay! Wolves are best blocked, not dodged. But if you can hit them first, thats the way to go. They always get staggered, even from Mark of Flame.
You will get destroyed in a few secs if you are not careful dodge weaken and block. I use rogue and the poison is great for weakening enemies and also using shadow flare for the bleeding damage buffs
I always play mage. 2nd times as well. Already 400 hours in it. Have to try another character. Rogue maybe...Oh and I play on hardest difficulty from start. Only the tower is hard really. Also quick save is amazing.
Save/Delete your savegames, reinstall the game. And press Restore Default at every TAB separately in the Options Menu, especially in the Keybind menu. Try to rebind the movement/override some keys. Then restore them to default. Try using Keyboard and Gamepad if possible.
@@daktaklakpak5059 Thanks for those tipps. But i play on Ps4. I allready delete and re-install the game. I have two savegames and one of them leads in an endless Loadscreen. The other one crashes😪 I realy have to wait for a patch and i hope that helps
I don't know if I should buy this game. I played it heavily when it first came out like around 100 hrs. I played the dead kel DLC but not teeth of naros. And I'm not sure if 40 dollars is worth it for th few changes they've made to the game. I'm thinking of trying a new rpg. This channel seems to love that greedfall game. Maybe that'd be a better choice? What do yall think?
I never played the original so it was a no brainer for me. But I can see your point of view. Just depends how much you enjoyed the original and if you want a good dose of nostalgia. Or maybe you want to try a new build this time around.
I just went back and played my original on Steam (sucks DLC not available there) But I'm having a blast, even with the discount of owning the original, I still think not enough has changed, and the original still holds up well. I'd spend my money on an entirely different game.
Late to the party... i'm playing pure mage on very hard. I'm enjoying the challenge, getting distracted can get you killed instantly even by the smallest enemies. This game's like playing god of war, but in an open world rpg. I can only hope they'll make a sequel.
Combat in this game needs some getting used to. Having no s on dodges, plus the fact that enemies lock on you and can turn mid-attack can sometimes get frustrating if you're used to souls games.
the only way they could make it "very hard" is if they disabled fate shift, since it makes every fight you use it over in an instant, i do over5k damage per hit while fate shifting, and only level 24
I think they managed to keep the fateshifting somewhat balanced on very hard. It depends on how you play the game I guess, and your luck with the gear you find. Sometimes it's easy to sweep the floor with enemies while fate shifting, and sometimes it's not, at least in my case. Probably because my greatsword is not so great, lol. They could reduce the amount of fate you get, and slow down the whole fateshifting process altogether, at least on very hard.
I feel like the weird dodge delay or inability to dodge at certain points, along with the lack of lock-on, are two of the biggest flaws of the original that should have been addressed and fixed in this remaster. Like... why would they leave these horrible design choices in the game?
Fell in love with this game 8 years ago just for the hammers man. This is one of the FEW games that got hammers right. Literally can feel the power fantasy booming down trolls in very hard diff

I've been playing on Hard from the start, full Might build. I'm a little over half way thru 'Act II' and the game is full on DULL (difficulty wise, love the game it's self!). Torn between waiting to see how Act III and the DLC feel, and turning it up to Very Hard...
Haven't played it in years, but I remember it was a part of a questline, possibly for a faction. I remember the faction was a large group of theives in an encampment.
Not dodge or block while making an attack is pretty shit and I contacted them because of it. It takes forever to kill these enemies and you always have to restart again, you can't fully attack. It's nonsense. It is only good for attacking with magic !!!
I had to stop using the Staff weapons. The third attack, especially when using Lightning based Staffs, kill headphone users. I already reduced the effect sounds to 40% yet Staff attacks are still drumming loud! While everything else is a silent whisper in the wind...
I remember sleep walking through “hard” when this game first came out. At no point did the game offer an ounce of a challenge. The only thing that was frustrating was all the fucking late game stun-locking. Even as a pacifist in life, that shit makes me want to straight up Dexter devs.
Hope with all this the game can get a sequel now; the game design would really benefit from being in a post-Dark Souls world. (Though, maybe not. Feel like the takeaway to get from Souls is "hey, you can have s in your dodge. No, really, it's OK, you can do it" and most devs go "durr stanima bar.")
I don't believe this kind of combat will ever work with a stamina system. Different combo attacks for different weapon types work pretty good, even though it can feel a bit spammy sometimes. But there's definitely a lot of room for improvements.
Meh, I'm very over "Souls-like" games. They are very oversaturated now. This Remaster is a breath of fresh air, you cant just dodge everything. Parry/block are significantly more useful strategies.
@@chrisg8989 I feel like I might've poorly stated my point. My bad. I'm not saying the sequel should be a Souls-like (I'd rather it isn't, as I hate every attempt at the genre after Dark Souls 1.) I just wish more devs paid attention to how Dark Souls did dodging.
Can’t believe they sold this outdated game for $80 in Australia. I tried playing it for a coupe of hours and it plays like a PS3 game. Sorry to everyone who loves it but that is a straight rip off.
The most annoying. Where the fuck could i get more pouch ???? In the middle of dungeon or mission my inventory always full full full full full of all shit. It's annoying you always keep attention to your inventory amount and you can't fast travel from inside of dungeon, building to sold your shit. This game has billion items scattered and various items category that eat your inventory. Oia the developer hadn't even though to add more amount for our inventory.
Blocking for a frame in between blinks resets the two blink limit; also, the Lunge in the Finesse tree can cancel a lot of lengthy, otherwise un-cancellable (not sure if that's a word) moves, such as dodge attacks.

Now the game is gonna be fun on VeryHard.
Just the troll in the open scene is actually...very hard, compared to what Im used to.
very weird just randomly finding you here in the comments haha. I used to watch a lot of your Diablo 2 content.
I've usually used chakrams and a hammer. Protection shield, harpoon, and the lightning blast.
@@jamesphillips5770 Same, except I decided to skip the harpoon
im currently in my first playthrough ever (hard difficluty), im building full mage, aiming for the archmage destiny, should i use staff or chakrams as a primary weapon?
@@FLuZzyiE K, thx bro
You can cancel the last attack animations with a spell or ability. Sure you can't cancel the ability animation either, but it can still be shorter than the weapon attack.
The Spell - Mark of Flame, comes to mind. Its fast, and smaller enemies will be staggered.
Daktaklakpak the 1st tap of shadow flare comes to mind to. (Minus the knives.)
@@Fishster Hard gives more exp, he's playing on very hard and is receiving less than you so hard mode will outlevel him.
@Antoine Cutter That’s not working. The reduced experience is not enough to compensate for increased mob levels. Many many posts about it.
@@Fishster Didn't see any posts bout it but that's good to know atleast
Infinite combo:
Need a great sword
Need a staff
(Done in ps4)
3 hits with the greatsword, after the third, block and square with staff, and continue the combo like so.
I have two builds going at the moment, and long sword and chakrams using battle mage, and an archery focused pure finesse build.
This is great stuff.
What exactly does a staggered enemy look like?
Are one handed swords a weapon type as well? What are they good/bad at?
My question is what dose increase difficulty give you?
Better weapons or easier level ups 🤔
Might be stupid question but does anyone know if I can transfer my original X360 character to this one?
The thing is finesse skill tree has no skills that make character "faster" or increse attack speed, as far as I know.
The stagger on daggers are great for interruption and then leading to heavy weapon damage
Ive known hammers to be better at stunning due to blunt trauma than a stagger effect.

I like using the first half of mark of flame just for the stagger
First play through, universalist build, was difficult at first on very hard, but now I am death and destroyer of worlds.
I think I'm gonna try a dagger/mage build.
dagger for close quarter combat and the staff mid range.

Greatsword and staff but was thinking maybe greatsword bow poison

Any situation where you have a mage attacking you... you get stunlocked into oblivion.
Oh man on very hard those plague boggarts piss me off haha
Not so bad when you can stock on potions haha
So maybe alchemy be a good skill to get xD
Most annoying enemy in the game are the wolves. Their only attack is to run at you, and when you dodge, they instantly turn into your dodging direction without delay!
Wolves are best blocked, not dodged. But if you can hit them first, thats the way to go. They always get staggered, even from Mark of Flame.
Think you can make a video on how to farm for Armor and Weapon sets with the new loot system?
I stated this games last night one very hard and got destroyed by a bear twice lol
You will get destroyed in a few secs if you are not careful dodge weaken and block. I use rogue and the poison is great for weakening enemies and also using shadow flare for the bleeding damage buffs

I'd get greedfall and wait for the new dlc next year to drop. Teeth of naros is a good expansion though.
Late to the party... i'm playing pure mage on very hard. I'm enjoying the challenge, getting distracted can get you killed instantly even by the smallest enemies. This game's like playing god of war, but in an open world rpg. I can only hope they'll make a sequel.
How to regenerate HP without a potion or pay healer in city ?
Hp Regen gear
Btw are you originally from Balkan, I think I can recognise your accent?
I feel like the weird dodge delay or inability to dodge at certain points, along with the lack of lock-on, are two of the biggest flaws of the original that should have been addressed and fixed in this remaster. Like... why would they leave these horrible design choices in the game?

Now I -might- give a shit about this game. Loved the gameplay, but it became way too easy in the original.
Not dodge or block while making an attack is pretty shit and I contacted them because of it. It takes forever to kill these enemies and you always have to restart again, you can't fully attack. It's nonsense. It is only good for attacking with magic !!!
