nice video FuS.. I'm battling finding the best 2h sword.. I think the Heavy Great Sword is waay to slow for my playstyle even tho the high dmg. How are you liking this Katana so far ?
@@fustv281 Hey. Why do you actually use 2h sword? Wouldnt it be more viable to go with 2h axe or hammer? As they scale from weight. And Oghmir goes with heavy STR investments. Arent you loosing significant dmg potential? Im just asking as I would like to go 2h swords but my guild mates told me I should go axes or hammers because of the weight scaling. Thanks for reply.)
@@Catch07 The 71 damage Messing Maul can one shot a dex mage with a headshot or even 3 hit a heavy foot fighter, but you have to LAND the hit. It also takes extreme amounts of stamina to use. If you are careful, you can get a parry charge with it and then hit the guy NEXT to the guy attacking you (He wont be expecting it) but you have to be really good at landing those hits. In a real situation, sword is just easier to land hits with and not get handle hits. Axes/Maces are a bigger stam drain and get a lot of handle hits. Swords are just more reliable. On paper, a Maul sounds much better against a guy in steel armor than a sword, as 1 maul hit = 3 sword hits, but the sword uses WAY less stam and is more forgiving in a melee. So if you are god tier at landing hits, god tier at stamina management, and god tier at landing hits with a big easy to track slow weapon, yeah mace/axe can rock but sword is usually better in more situations. I am Mace atm because it is cheaper to do (An incisium maul hits as hard as a tungsteel sword) and mauls CLOBBER risars/Minos but I might go swords soon because its just better for pvp in MOST situations. Often with the maul Ill hit them for 1/3 of their HP but then don't have enough stam to run them down, and anyone good is near impossible to hit with a maul/axe, hard to fake. There is also move set to consider, Axes and Maces dont have a useful thrust, whereas swords do, sometimes you are in tight areas and need to thrust.

I was using a tungsteel great blade looted from outsiders, it was really nice. I usually run steel heavy great blades though.
@@fustv281 Thanks for answering !
