Short answer… Top Gun Maverick is the best movie of the year… a story about a father and son disguised as a jet film… kinda like aliens, a film about a mom with aliens or Last crusade a story about a father and son with nazi’s lmao or we can even include Star Trek beyond, brother story, jaws… a man confronting his water fears… man I love film!!!!
The movie was trash. Delay after delay, only for it to be a remake of the first movie and then the third act pretty much steals the third act from Iron Eagle and mixes it with the Death Star Trench Run from A New Hope. Only positive I can give Top Gun 2 is that it had good pacing. Was never bored, but majority of the movie I was pretty much “Oh, Top Gun 1 had a similar scene/moment like that” or “They are doing that again? They did that in Top Gun 1 as well. When are they going to stop borrowing/stealing from the first movie and stop referencing the first movie and do something new/different? … Oh, great. Just realized I haven't screened a single non-Horror flick this entire year! Maybe Prey isn't 100% Horror related, but Horror enough for my tastes. Mostly 70s and 80s Slashers, a few from the 90s in there too... Edit: No, I watched the newest Spiderman flick, and realized the current iteration of Spiderman is my least favourite 😂 That MJ tho? 🤤 I mean good God that woman is beautiful!
For a guy that's somewhat of a historian, loves great imagery, & action. The Northman is a GREAT, unique film. Elvis: Rocked😉. Biggest surprise: Bandit with Josh Duhmel, Elisha Cuthbert, & Mel Gibson.

Do you plan on doing a Break Down on Babylon Drums? I'd love to hear what you thought of it. We went to see it last night and it was one crazy film! We were the only 2 people in the theater strangely.
I think the train on biopics really started with the straight outta Compton movie bohemian rhapsody and Elvis are the best though. The Dirt is one you should check out

7 avatar the way of water beautiful visuals and great characters Jake Sully is more likeable then he was in the first movie the story is a little better then the first one. 6 top gun maverick. one of the feel good movies of 2022 5 turning red. one of the best story on puberty and a awesome final battle at a boy band concert. 4 the batman one of the best batman that does detective work his relationship with Catwoman is probably one of the strongest and I do like that he doesn't kill anyone his his opening and ending speech got me at the end Batman becoming a savior to Gotham is probably one of the best things he ever did I'll give this movie a 9.5/10 it's a amazing film but the runtime should be shortened a little bit. I almost fell asleep during the movie. 3 sonic the hedgehog 2 one of the best video game adaptions ever and a nice message on family Tails and Knuckles are scene Stealers in this movie same with Robotnik and agent Stone. 2 lightyear. one of the best movies based on a character from toy story chris Evans was born to play Buzz Lightyear Sox the cat is a scene stealer. 1. The bob's burgers movie one of my favorite films of 2022 the characters are fun a story of Louise becoming braver to save the restaurant is great and the story that she got her bunny ears is so good that I actually cried a little and that we saw Bob's mother for the first time I appreciate this movie more this movie has a lot of heart and humor to it and that's why I think is the best movie of 2022.
My favourite movies that I saw this year 2022 - Everything Everywhere All At Once Triangle Of Sadness Moonage Daydream The Batman Marcel The Shell With Shoes On The Northman After Yang Elvis Nope Barbarian The Outfit
I may stand alone here but I hated She Said. I was hoping for something in similar vein as All the Presidents Men where paranoia played so effectively. There was a hint of it in She Said where a threatening phone call was received. With the subject at hand and the fact that so many of these women were silenced, the paranoia aspect would have been great. Sadly it was missing here. Secondly, there was a scene at a bar that felt totally unnecessary where we have this guy come over who was overbearing and one of the women screams profanity at him. This was totally not needed and seemed just thrown in as part of this white male hate thing that is getting old. The Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump stuff was enough without resorting to this garbage. That bar scene nearly took me out of the film. It was like it was just tacked on to force a point that was already detailed with the Weinstein story. So, I didn't care for this film at all.
The Batman for me was #1 for not only the movie but the experience. I was on vacation alone in Florida and day one of my trip I knew I was seeing it. Knowing you’re from this area I figure you probably know Studio Movie Grill. We have nothing like that theater where I’m from so that was quite the experience for me.
@@DrumdumsOfficial ya it was a really nice theater. They bring you food and drinks but I didn’t know going in and ate at Ford’s Garage that was right there. Recommend that place too lol
2022 was such an odd year for me. I can’t even put together a Top 10 Best Movie list for 2022. The only movies I REALLY liked were The Batman, Day Shift, Halloween Ends, Bullet Train, Violent Night, Christmas Bloody Christmas, and Avatar 2 (I listed them in order I watched them throughout the year, except for The Batman since that’s my #1, although it released first in the first than the others, but the rest I don’t know how to order, so I went by watch order, Bullet Train released earlier than some, but I didn’t watch it until maybe after I saw Halloween Ends). The rest of the movies that released in 2022 would either go on my worst list, or they were just “whatever” movies. “Whatever” movies are ones I didn’t like or hate, and they aren’t worthy enough to be on my Best list, but I didn’t dislike them enough to put on the worst list. They are just there and exist. If any movies were to be honorable mentions, then maybe Doctor Strange 2 and The Menu. There are some 2022 movies I haven’t watched yet, but with it being the end of the year, and I still haven’t watched them, that should say a lot about them already, and will be on the worst list or “whatever” movies.

I liked No Way Home, but couldn’t stand the previous 2.
Bullet Train was great. Avatar 2 and Wakanda Forever were both equal worst.
For a guy that's somewhat of a historian, loves great imagery, & action. The Northman is a GREAT, unique film. Elvis: Rocked😉. Biggest surprise: Bandit with Josh Duhmel, Elisha Cuthbert, & Mel Gibson.
Best movies of the year scream top gun the batman I can't wait for next year tomorrow lol 🙂

My favorite Action film of 2022 goes to Top Gun Maverick
Do you plan on doing a Break Down on Babylon Drums? I'd love to hear what you thought of it. We went to see it last night and it was one crazy film! We were the only 2 people in the theater strangely.
Haven’t seen it. I probably won’t get time with all the other stuff I need to put out. This time of year I’m slammed.
I think the train on biopics really started with the straight outta Compton movie bohemian rhapsody and Elvis are the best though. The Dirt is one you should check out
The Dirt is pretty damn good, and shows the “dirty” side too.
Kinda curious. How many movies would you say you watch per year?
I’d say around 50.
@@DrumdumsOfficial As someone who doesn’t have as much time these days to watch movies, I appreciate your reviews to help identify the ones worth watching. You’re doing great. Have a happy new year.

Thanks for an awesome 2022, this year has been amazing for film, can't wait for 2023
7 avatar the way of water beautiful visuals and great characters Jake Sully is more likeable then he was in the first movie the story is a little better then the first one.
6 top gun maverick. one of the feel good movies of 2022
5 turning red. one of the best story on puberty and a awesome final battle at a boy band concert.
My favourite movies that I saw this year 2022 -
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Triangle Of Sadness
Moonage Daydream
The Batman
Marcel The Shell With Shoes On
The Northman
After Yang
Elvis
Nope
Barbarian
The Outfit
My favourite movie of the year was definitely everything everywhere all at once. It just blew me away it was so amazing
It was the best directed and edited movie for sure.
Is it fair to say that it was everything you've ever wanted, all at once?
‘The Batman’ now one of my 10 most favorite non-DCEU movies of all time.
What is letterbox
It’s a movie app. It’s called Letterboxd.
Honestly I've never heard of that place, but it sounds right up my alley! Thanks Paul. I'll look it up.
@@DrumdumsOfficial ya it was a really nice theater. They bring you food and drinks but I didn’t know going in and ate at Ford’s Garage that was right there. Recommend that place too lol
The actor playing Elvis looks more like Shaking Stevens than Elvis!
Doom movie review 😎☠💀👽
Drummer drummington the drummeth
I thought I was the only one who didn’t like the love story in top gun maverick! The rest of the movie was good though
Yeah it was kind of pointless.
Worst movie was Thor love and Thunder!! I love Thor and was just bored out of my mind in this one
Yes it was so bad! And they wasted Bale.
Worst movie I saw this year was Deep Water. A supposedly erotic thriller that was a huge snooze fest.
I heard it was bad.
@@DrumdumsOfficial It definitely deserved to get ripped a new ahole for the two hours of my time that were wasted.
I didn't care for The Batman that much. I found it kind of boring tbh and it was so darkly lit I was having AvP Requiem flashbacks.
I completely agree.. I actually ended up hating it but I realize I’m in the minority in this one. Oh well.
I'm sorry Lee I like you man ,but Elvis stole His whole routine from Roy Hamilton.
So that automatically disqualifies the movie?
@@DrumdumsOfficial no sir, but his story is incomplete if they don't tell the WHOLE truth about him. Still love your channel though.
@@andrewebb3283 they also forgot to mention that he liked girls VERY young
@@andrewebb3283 wasn't really a biopic. It was more impressionistic.
@@thischarminglovehound2376 the elephant in the room with Elvis has always been that He stole His routine from Black people. Even today it's taboo
Maverick and The Batman
