That song was written and produced by jk and was originally made for his mixtape in korean. The movie director of "your eyes tell" wanted to play a bts song at the end of the movie but when he heard "your eyes tell" he liked it so much that he made that song as the theme of the movie, so it's now an OST. Jk re-wrote it into japanese (the version you listened to now) with some help of others (since he's not that good in japanese). Our talented maknae can write such beautiful lyrics 🥺

Jungkook wrote this song for a Japanese movie. The sing was supposed to be part of his mixtape but the director of the movie liked it so much and chose it as his movie's OST
Jungkook wrote the lyrics after watching the movie and reading the script. He expressed the emotions and the idea of the movie so well through the lyrics. The movie is about a girl who loses her family and her eye sight in an accident that's why "colorful gaze" and "the darkness is beautiful" are mentioned. “Your Eyes Tell was originally intended for Jungkook’s mixtape but since the Japanese movie producer of the upcoming film called ‘your eyes tell’ itself chose the song to be the ost (after many demos was send), its included in BTS Japanese album”. Jungkook read the screenplay and watch the draft version of the movie and wrote the lyrics.
Your Eyes Tell was the first Japanese movie OST written and produced by foreign artist (Jungkook).
The movie director used the song, not only at the ending but also as an insert song of the movie.
i’m so proud of Jungkook. He didn’t lie when he said lyrics are sad yet beautiful and it will make you cry.

People keep saying this...but they're just talking about the VL right? Cause the RL got 15 seconds each tops and stood there the rest of the time. I mean, I don't usually complain about line distribution bc I understand the practical limitations but I've heard this comment a hundred times and idk why everyone is just disregarding the 4 bars each for the RL. What am I missing??
@@jhopeur7219 yes. I think it is because Jin used to get just 2-5 seconds before. Even in ballads, he used to get the least lines. So it is sort of embedded in everyone's mind and hence they comment on this.
I dont think anyone deliberately disregards the Rap line as such. I think the focus goes to the vocal line because it is a ballad...

The story tells about a guy, Rui, who stuggles to make ends meet while also dissociative from people due to his past (More on the movie). He then meets Kaori, the girl, who is blind and is struggling to be happy due to losing her sight and her parents in an accident.
They get to know each other, and that is how Rui then saw, how even though things are though for her, Kaori could still smile and try to be happy. He learns from her eyes that even though life is hard, it could still be beautiful 😊

"Your eyes tell” is a sad love ballad composed, written & produced by Jungkook. It's the official soundtrack for Japanese romance film _"Kimi no me ga toikaketeiru"_ which also translates to “Your eyes tell” or “Your eyes question". The film is a remake of 2011 SKorean film 'Always'.
This is the first time an original song was written by a foreign artist as the OST for a Japanese film; it is also the first movie OST of BTS career.
Musically, this version went in a very different direction to the others, having originally been created by Jungkook for his mixtape..but got ultimately selected by the film’s director who believed the melody & vocal style matched the movie so well. He also decided to use the track during the film instead of only during the ending credits.
Jungkook created the track after reading the movie script & watching the film’s incomplete footage. The lyrics embrace the concept of watching over someone protectively, and express the film’s perspective of “beautiful & deep love".
