Gentaro may annoy Momotaro, and that's why his father chases him, but he doesn't challenge Momotaro. I have a feeling Kintaro will be different and challenge Momotaro.
I have not been watching these videos for a few months so imagine my shock at seeing our sweet Gentaro now. The transformation is crazy! It is more difficult to recognize how much he has changed if you have watched him daily, but let me assure you....he has changed A LOT!! Our sweet boy is no longer a boy.
I can't get over how fast Gentaro has grown. He is a handsome, sweet and loving Silverback. Kintaro is adorable as always. Genki has all the girl power. She's a great Mother. ❤❤❤❤🦍🦍🦍🦍

Gentaro is still so cute! I hope he always keeps that kind, gentle expression. I think he will. Look at Haoko, he still has a cute face. Momo is more serious looking and I think, the most handsome silverback of all. I do feel bad that Momotaro always seems angry at Gentaro when he’s not doing anything wrong 😢
I wonder if Kintaro pesters his mom because he just wants someone to play with. He's just a 5 year old and when Gentaro doesn't want to play, who else can he turn to?
Hiya GL !!!! I have a question, don't know if it's stupid or not....does the gorillas know they have names and if so would they come to you if you called them by name ,like if the zookeep called for Momotaro will he come to her?
This zoo will soon have to address the fact that they have two adult male gorillas before there is a fight for dominance. Whatever happens, whatever damage to the animals will be their responsibility. They are wild animals not cartoon characters. Somebody has to take responsibility before there is a tragedy.
Это самая обычная обстановка в семье как у нас у людей. Старший ребенок бывает как всегда более прилежным и послушным. А младший как всегда избалован. И прежде всего матерью. Но и потом ей больше всего достается от него. А старший всегда растет правильным. Но эта семья = все таки не люди, а животные и дикие. И как дальше у них в семье сложатся взаимоотношения время покажет. Думаю что по правилам закона природы. И вызов сын может дать отцу, но не факт что сын окажется в плюсе. Я смотрю ваш канал год и поражаюсь тем как быстро Гентаро растет, казалось недавно он был немного больше Генки. А сейчас он быстро крепчает и растет. В моменте где он залез на окно и было видно только перед он был похож на Момотаро. И еще вопрос. Сколько весил Момотаро в возрасте как Гентаро сейчас?
Since there are no available females (Genki is the mother and I don't believe a "husband" and son would fight over a mother,) I see no reason why Momo and Gentaro would not be able to live together indefinitely. There are many "bachelor" groups at many zoos where silverbacks live peacefully together. Many times the silverbacks are related, fathers and son and brothers and half brother. Why would this arrangement be any different since no eligible females are in the enclosure?
@@abeaut81 The zoo would probably never introduce a second female into the current mix with Gentaro being near Silverback age. That would be a disaster. Gentaro would have to be placed into another zoo. But what I am saying is if the current situation is continued, Gentaro would be able to live very well with his Dad, who would continue to be the Alpha for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately Japan does not have very good zoo planning or funds from the little I have read about their gorillas. I believe another zoo owns Momotaro.
I believe that Gentaro will surpass Momotaro in size and that he’ll be a better father because of having Kintaro to play with. Just my opinion though. Love this troupe.

Yes all members recognize their names.
Momotaro is called Taro kun by the main zookeeper. He immediately goes close to her whenever she calls his name.
