Same, mine frizzez by day 4 and moisturizing which I love makes it worse. It will shrink and frizz. If I wash in the braids I will have to end up taking it out it will just look horrendous
I do bigger braids and only keep them in 1 week at a time. Take out to wash and rebraid. If I wash my hair in the braids it looks terrible. If I wash my hair in twists it gets matted.

How long do you leave them in before redoing them? Tried this with twists but by week 2 my hair was locking up
I redo every 4-5 weeks. I can’t do this with twists cause my hair would loc too but plaits it’s different ball game.
I get single strand knots with these and twists. Unfortunately, my hair retains more length when it’s in a “straight” state.
@@sharicamonet9675 that’s my next challenge 🤫
I remember going to school back home. I use to do my hair like this to save time for school. My hair was reached to my elbow. It does work.
Your elbow , wow that’s long 😲
love this ! how long did that take you ?
@@aneesa1670 took me 4 hours to do them originally. Takes me days to redo each plait
I'm fixing to do this style to my hair too.
Aye twinssss
Whoo I need to to try this
@@bettycouncil6637 always recommend ppl to try it because it could be life changing
How does your hair still look so good though? I’m trying the same thing as you but my frizz is next level.
Naw it’s frizzy by week 2.. if you look at my hair when I was wearing the pink blazer, she’s frizzy frizzy. But tbh, I don’t mind it 🤷🏾♀️
Water + scarf overnight or water + mouse + scarf overnight, depending on what you're looking for, should help some.
Ladies I was wondering the same thing about maintenance and the frizz, so thanks for the suggestions, thanks for sharing !🙏😘
I have locs but i’m about to start doing this with my 2 year old daughter’s hair. I’ve been considering it for a while but haven’t yet because I wana try all the cute styles on her lol. Her hair is so long and thick but she hates getting it washed and styled. This would make wash day and my entire life so much easier🤣
@@AutumnTheArtist1996 it makes life easier indeed! 🙌🏾😩

Do you rebraid your plaits or touch them up before taking them out completely after weeks of wearing them.
Yes and yes
God took His time with me🙏💙💙💙💙✨
