If European governments managed their own borders we would not see any illegal boats into the UK as they would be picked up and not allowed into Italy, France or anywhere else.

No it's not. Is sad that people vote far-right parties. Many people tell that they do it just for one reason and not take seriously the consequences. When you vote those parties they are in power some years and they don't respect any democracy.
