The fact that you suggested Fedora, Debian, and Arch proves your positive competence on the matter of "distros". The only people who argue "which is better" are noobs that don't realize that pretty much all distros are merely forks of those 3 source distros. The only other people who throw a fit over distro's are the Gentoo crew; but that deserves a conversation in and of itself.

Speaking of threat model, I often see people in security and privacy forums wanting to go all out with privacy and security, way beyond their threat model, often claiming that they want to keep the gov. out, but when asked if they are holding state secrets, they say no. I'm more than happy just using Linux rather than Windows, that's my threat model, telemetry and advertisements.

I would suggest removing sudo entirely. - its a huge attack vector. even the most recent version of parrot-OS and Debian has an un-patched local exploit - try it yourself by typing this in a regular terminal and see if you get root access. your user does not have to even be in the sudoers file.: sudoedit -s '\' `perl -e 'print "A" x 65536 you can remove sudo by doing an apt-get purge sudo on debian based distros, and just use su root, or a sudo replacement.
