Thank you, Dave. I have no clue if I'm doing something wrong but using Rocket has been a dream so far as i prep for my first publication 😂 guess the only way to see if my choices were right is when the keywords kick in on Amazon.
These videos are really helpful. You do more than just say, “Your book description is bad,” and leave; you give examples as to why it might be bad (in fact, you don’t even call it “bad”) and offer possible solutions. You’re also entertaining while still being professional. I don’t feel like I’m watching some overly excited or dramatic host that is yelling or being goofy.
Because of my publisher name, and my author name, I rank in Beach Reads. Hilarious, but it turned out to be a good thing. Those Beach Read readers took a chance on my book and liked it!
Wow, this is incredibly useful! I used Rocket to check my epic fantasy action-adventure novel, Rebel Slave. Unfortunately, because of the word "slave" in the title, Amazon ended up thinking my book was a dark mm romance fantasy. What a total and complete misunderstanding! Unfortunately, you can't change the title (or subtitle) of your book without a hard relaunch. I wonder if there is some way you could use these incredible tools to check out your title and subtitle before actually publishing your book?
Publisher Rocket is excellent for the US market, I always use it when I want to make a book for that market, shame it's pretty useless when it comes to different markets - Italy, just to say. Even worse, the categories in the Italian market are much fewer than in the US, and finding the right ones for your book is truly a pain. 😞
This is great! The only problem I have is when I enter the ASINs of similar books it keeps coming up with 'hmm... it looks like the ASIN you entered is not vaild.'
Not sure if this will works for you, but I had the same issue when I copy/paste the ASIN in. When I type them out in the field they seem to work for me. I only had one ASIN I couldn't type in as it kept saying it didn't look like an ASIN, but that ASIN I could copy past in. So the function is a bit spotty and requires some work, but hopefully this solution will help you through that blockade.
Hi Dave. I have a problem with amazon ads. I live in sweden but i'm marketing the english versions of my book on the usa market. My problem is that amazon ads couldn't verify my tax number. I am unsure how to solve this. It tells me to go to my payment settings, but i've no clue as to how i solve this. Does it have something to do with my vat number? I'd appreciate any help on this.
SUCH a great tool. Any tips on what to to if your "search terms related to your 7 Kindle keywords" shows no data found? I've had thousands of books downloaded, mostly through a free BookBub International Featured Deal, which I consider a topline promo. Or am I wrong? Or could the issue be because my keyword metadata is stuffed? As in, "war bond showgirls murder glamour mafia redemption". I want to get this right before I go out with book 2 in the series. Thanks!
Wow, whe I searched my book, there wasn't anything I found relevant. I had to enter five books manually to get to any information. And now I'm not certain what to change. Is there any way to check the keywords of the books I *actually* think are good comps for mine?
Loved the last bit. My book was put into US Political categories for a while - I assumed, and you've confirmed it - that they thought I was (or was connected to) Jesse Jackson. I'm a white British woman 😂
This is great (the video and the new utility in Rocket)!!! My book is a historical fantasy story about the downfall of Atlantis and looking at the target keywords, it is hitting tons of pride and prejudice stuff.. i think I need to redo my keywords and book description. And of course, no sales either.
Once you identify where the problem is, make the decision on whether you change it. The action you take will depend on where the problem lies. So, iif your keywords or categories are causing confusion, then change them. If your book description is linking you to zombies, and you aren't, then change the words so that it doesn't throw things off. That sort of thing.
Real deal Dave. The only Go To person for making your Amazon Sales Work! Lots of love from India.

@@JoeRoverBooks thanks Joe. That meant a lot to read. I like to make my videos like I like to watch them
No problem!
Thanks for sharing useful content here and in your newsletter and website. You are one of the prime Amazon marketing teachers out there. Keep it up!💓
Really, really, useful and informative, Dave. (as usual) I'll be watching this again and implementing the tips as I do. Many thanks!
Best value content creator yet! Thank you so much for this information. I love what you do and how you deliver! Such a blessing 😊
The end made me roll in laughter. Thanks for the info and the bonus (funny ending).
The "Cook" example is hilarious. You gotta love bots - thanks!
Great information, as always, Dave. Thank you!

Hi Dave, do you think it's best to release the audiobook together with the paper back at the launch? Thanks for the work you do?
You're the real deal, Dave Chesson! Thanks for all the great info!
I need to get this moved to the new computer. The coming releases dictate it. Thank you for this and all the hard work of the team.

I do that by typing in my title as a keyword and looking at the competition analyzer to make sure that I'll be among books similar to mine
@@theauthorgirl-podcast Great idea, thank you!
Excellent, infodense, relevant video. Thank you, David!
Thank you for this helpful information!
If Amazon's "Search Terms Amazon Has Like for Your Book" are different from some of the terms I originally added, should I change my original terms?

Great inside baseball info that is just essential.
Awesome and glad you like it.
Fifty Shades shows up under Christian romance because of the name of the male main character.
Yup - its things like that.
😂
That’s wild!
I get suggested books on Amazon that have nothing to do with what I entered, all the time. It’s massively annoying!

@@Kindlepreneur great. Thanks! I really messed up my title.
@@meleastin9974 yes, I can relate! And sadly, once you've published the book you can't change it! Sad.
I have been blocked from publishing...how do I fix this. Appealing has proved abortive
