I’d be torn between the BG Harding (most balanced tone of the pack ?) and the BlackStrap (for a sharper tone). To my ears, these two seem to have the most pronounced « gated » broken crackling character and attack/decay, and this is what I would personally look for in a Zonk-like fuzz. But the four of them sound absolutely stunning anyway, each in their own respect. Also, yeah most certainly all the others you mention at the beginning at the video + the JDM Elektrika + the KingTone Ge/Si Fuzz. And the Venus Witch Awen Fuzz especially I guess... This demo definitely proves that what seems to be a very narrow niche of tones is in fact an extremely varied and diverse one ! Cool comparison. Thanks for turning me on to the BG Harding. The qualities I personally liked about it when choosing it leave me with no regrets when watching this comparison although they all sound great in their own way.
I liked the Jerms in the demo; followed by the Acid Fuzz but as we know it's all a matter of taste and what suits your pallette of tone. I think to my ears I prefer a slightly smoother sound with less glitch. Having said all that I do like the sound of Tone Benders and yes they can have a great full and deep glitch"y sound.
I have the AcidFuzz, I love it, but just doesn’t sound mangled/glitchy/spitty enough for me, which is why I love Zonks. Am on the 3 year waiting list for a DanDrive.
Bg sounds closest to my dam zoot unit, and dare I argue.... closest to a true zonk. Blackstrap sounds like a mkI to me. ... great, but not a zonk. The others don’t seem to do the true zonk or a mkI sound.... just kinda close, but no cigar. But still awesome sounding. My zoot, by DAM, is a straight up clone... so makes sense.
It's great! Kicks ass on all of these. The Blackstrap is the closest due to is rough, raucous, rippin' sound! I will bet, too, that the BPC version costs 1/2 to 1/3 of the rest of these posers.

Hi there I’m not certain on the clones operation , but if you search on the web there is instructions for that circuit in one of the forums . In my personal experience the clones were not like the original in terms of controls though ⭕️😊

The Zoink is voiced differently than the full clone AcidFuzz sometimes makes. Less spitty / underbiased.
