Take A Note doesn't state that their TRP is Sanzen specifically on their website. But they do have a post on IG sharing that it's Sanzen TRP. In this video I do test the 68gsm in light of the major issues I had with the 68 gsm Sanzen TRP that I received to test when I started manufacturing my 2025 planners. If you saw that video you know the paper was terrible. The paper that's in my A5 TAN that I test in this video is significantly better. I do not know why there's such a disparity as I know that I am not the only shop that tested the 68gsm for potential paper for 2025 planners and they had the same results from their test. I have reached out to TAN to get more info on their paper to see if it's a different grade (like maybe artist grade) and just glean a little bit more info since the paper Sanzen gave me to test was so very bad. I will update here if/when I get more info. But the TAN 68gsm Sanzen TRP seems to perform well. And I continue to look at and test different papers for future launches.
I love it too. That’s why I tried to make my planners in it - was so sad the paper sample I received from Sanzen was such a fail. I couldn’t risk making the planners in it and it being terrible. But glad TAN was able to source good batches.
I love the paper! And really appreciate the attention to craftsmanship and responsible production. Mine arrived last month and will be my core planner for 2025 and journal.
I appreciate the fact that you have your own planner company but continue to support and promote other planner businesses. I also really like the Take a Note Planner- and I like your planner layout, it's well thought out and well organized.
It’s so unique. And makes it so much easier to flip back and forth between the two! Especially if you use as a memory keeper/journal and refer back to it over the years.
I prefer to support local, Yoseka are shipping these as I write this and their customer service is top notch too. No hidden international conversion fees or bank/exchange charges either 🇺🇸
I support small businesses including Yoseka all the time and definitely think it’s a great option. For me, especially with all the planners I buy to review and then giveaway, the savings helped me out and I didn’t have any bank fees or hidden costs. But totally support shopping with Yoseka and other small businesses for your planner needs.
You said that you were starting to send out your planners this weekend. Any idea what day that’s gonna be. Sorry not trying to bug you. Just excited to get my planner and see it in person
I am so invested in this 2025 TRP situation and I have only used a Wonderland 222 once and didnt have a fancy pen so I am not sure I even knew the entire story of TRP even when I was using it? 🤔 But now I all involved, well not really involved, but watching the situation closely? 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you for showing us these planners! 💕
It's been interesting watching the changes in TRP since the original version to new and now to Sanzen and the drama around it for sure. It's more important to me now as not just a user (and lover) of the paper but also as someone manufacturing planners and notebooks because it's so important that the paper be usable. Ghosting is always expected and ok but bleed-thru is not especially when its so prolific. I truly hope Sanzen continues to improve and tighten their QC. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!!
I really like that slim biweekly so I ordered it without a clear use for it ...but thinking about it I think I'll use it for meal planning/tracking (grocery list will go in my EDC which will be your A6 :) ) . I need to meal plan, but I don't want meal planning to clutter my regular planner. (I might use the tracker when I "fall off the wagon" and have fast food. 😂)
Thank you for the video. I still like your planner layout best of all that I have seen this year, and am looking forward to receiving them (A5 and A6). Regarding the paper, generally, I prefer 52 gsm because the planner is generally a bit thinner and lighter weight, but I also like the 68 gsm paper. Just to let you know, I had purchased several 52 gsm Sanzen TRP notebooks from another retailer earlier this year, and I had no issues with them. I use fountain pens mostly - extra fine all the way to 1.5mm stub/architect nibs. Overall, I still prefer the original TRP, but alas it is no more. Sanzen isn't too bad, though.
You don’t. Just open Google and search for TWD to USD (or your currency if you aren’t in the US) and a converter will pop up and you put it in the amount and it converts so you know what it will cost. Then when you pay your bank/paypal etc does conversion for you.

They have the best paper!🥰 now I just need them to make a daily planner

@@JustScribble Im hoping good paper is easier to source for 2026. 2025 is a mess

That’s wonderful!! TAN is a great planner. So excited for you!
So excited to see you do an unboxing of TAN planners, been waiting to see some of these show up on my feed.
I’m so glad. I’ve got quite a few TAN videos on my channel if you need to see more 💗
I like the Bi-week layout much!!
It’s a great layout 😊

Thank you! I’m glad you like the layout! I enjoy supporting other companies too and love sharing them with you all.
Really like the page reference for the week on the monthly. Nice touch for sure

I agree with you. You decided to shop overseas for cost reasons. In this instance, you did not support local and that is your prerogative 👍
I have really enjoyed you sharing all the different style planners. Thank you for sharing them it has been a joy.
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the videos.

I’m glad you are excited. I’m processing orders the entire weekend and into next week due to the volume.

It’s a great choice for meal planning! I like the simple setup for it. I think it would be a good gratitude or one like a day journal too.

How do you convert the currency on their website?
You don’t. Just open Google and search for TWD to USD (or your currency if you aren’t in the US) and a converter will pop up and you put it in the amount and it converts so you know what it will cost. Then when you pay your bank/paypal etc does conversion for you.
Love this but $700 for a planner is way outside my price range.
It’s not $700 USD. It’s 700 TWD which is approximately 22 USD. Their site is in Taiwanese dollars.
Bad feedback/background noise in this video. Some kind of bumping the microphone. Sharing so you're mindful
I’m so sorry you had that experience. I’ll work on being more mindful of background noise. 🙏
