I want to make Kenshiro and Raoh from Fist of the North Star. The Eternia guard chest armor could work for Raoh and I'm considering the MotWWEU John Cena for Kenshiro's legs. No idea how I'm going to do the heads though.
I'd say search for a custom head or a figure that has one. That's what I did for robocop n had to get a McFarlane one for over 10 years ago ... but it had the perfect head... hope you find one...
Trouble is there aren't really many Fist of the North Star action figures and any out there are expensive as fuck. And I'm not sure there are any custom heads out there.
😆, I look at it like I'm just coloring a 3d picture when I do this . Always take the arms n torso apart and head to male ot easier for yourself to not get any colors on anything you're not trying to color. Also, take your time cause you pretty much only get 1 try most times to color it right n to not go out the lines ... good luck n keep at it 💪, practice makes perfect 😉

I used a wwe superstars arms and chest. There's a bunch out there u can choose from. The pants was from the Brian Watt wwe superstars figure. The vest was from the Masters of the wwe stone cold figure n I painted it blue

@Mr Home Arcade used taker torso for collared shirt look. Used a fist hand and drilled small hole so he can hold brush better. Bray legs like yours. Eventually hope to find a good cloth shirt with pocket for Peapod the squirrel to sit in. Appreciate you dude, your custom figs/videos are great!
Fucking Fantastic job bro.. I got some heads I'm working on making for this line that I'd like to give ya and see what you do with em. When I get em done. Also if you buy any paint.. Testors and Model Masters acrylic water base is the best I've found for action figures.. Dont buy any acrylic enamel paint cause it doesn't want to dry on certain rubbers or plastics.

I've been sitting on a bunch of stuff from Etsy. But those prices plus the shipping is a major turn off. Especially for how small some of the stuff is. Like those belts.
The one thing I'm always worried about when it comes to painting customs is paint rub. A guy told me he never had paint rub, but I doubt it. It's practically unavoidable if you actually handle a custom.
U just have to let it fully dry then hit it a few times with a clear coat so it keeps the paint in. Once I figured all that out , I don't have that problem anymore.
Some people wear really thin gloves when painting for that, and to avoid getting skin oil into the paint on the model since it can make the paint "shinier." I don't do that because it just bothers my grip too much and I don't mind a bit a shine on my minis I paint since I dull them down with inks and washes anyway.
Yes, of course. Just put the figure in hot boiling hot water for about 30 to 35 seconds. I did a youtube short about it when I made an ultimate ram man
These are all so great. My favorite is Buzz-Kill - that is an amazing original creation. Fat Stratos is hilarious. 😂 Makes too much sense when you think about it. Also, love how you created Teenage Mutant Ninja Frog Mongers. What you've done in such a short time is breath-takimg and inspiring. Thanks for sharing your materials and techniques and pointing out which ones don't work so well. I've painted with cheap acrylic paints from Target and they work OK, but rub off on joints. I tried clear coating them, but that didn't help on the joints. Either the paint is too thick, or maybe I didn't wait long enough for the clear coat to cure. (The stuff I have now recommends 5 - 7 days for plastic.) I'm currently working making one of the Buzz Lightyear XL-15 space ships into a black plane for Cobra. I learned from other videos that painting plastic is a complex process. First, they recommend using Scotch Brite pads (the green ones for dishes, etc.) to dry scrub off the coating that is almost always applied to injection molded parts. Then clean with a degreaser (I used very dilute Simple Green/water mixture). From that point, only handle with gloves to prevent getting grease on the plastic. Next mask off any areas you don't want to paint, then use primer or some other kind of adhesion promoter (that might be what it's called, but I forget. I used primer.) After primer, then you can spray with top coat color. When that is dry, then clear coat. Also, it's important to follow the recommended dry time directions. Most of my sprays seem to indicate that you can either layer coats within 30 minutes to an hour, or wait for 24 - 48 hours between coats. I already ran into some trouble with paint and clear coat coming off when I didn't let the clear coat dry long enough before turning the pieces over to coat the other side. I'll have to touch up with liquid paint and then clear coat those parts again. Live and learn. 😁

I can't see myself painting anything with a brush, I've gotten used to the paint markers n, so far, it's been turning out good. Okay, 3 weeks ago I watch the first one, and I just finished watching part 4, You are definitely the ''King of Motu Origins action figures'' you have clearly spent a lot of Time, effort, money, and dismembered a lot of figures to make the ones you did (and spent a lot on the figures and parts you bought) Most of them look like legit store bought figures, I like a lot of them, Some are faves because of Who they are, others cause of How well you made them, Personally ? I like Walter White, Dead-Eye-Duck, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, several of the Batman, Space Skeletor, and for what impressed me ? you also did amazing work on Cable, Doctor Octopus, Punisher, Spawn, Prisoner Superman, Scarecrow, Deathstroke, Ghost Serpent King, Diablo, and Dolph Lundgren Movie HeMan, and my all time faves are your Original Demon Batman, the Batman who laughs, Space Ace, and Terrork The Demon King (Some of these truly involved a lot of creativity and effort) Again these all look legit, and very impressive, plus the fact that you've made and bought so many customs and 3D printed items, Your Motu room is unbelievable, especially with your new cloud ceiling, and I cant wait to see all the figures and vehicle on all the playsets and displays !!! 🤣 😂 I never really realized how much extra parts I had until I organized them fully. I try to buy lots of loose figures when I see them for a good price , same for weapons and accessories. That's how I got all this in a short amount of time as far as extra parts n figures.

@James Armstrong don't boil the heads. Just drop them in when the water is boiling n turn the heat off. Keep it in there for like 90 secs n them it's ready . That's for any other body piece, too. If u boil it , it will end up making it discolored
I get them from a store called Hobby Lobby, but they probably sell them online. As fsr as leaving them sticky ... as long as u let them dry, they work great. Normally, I try to give things 2 coats n have it dry fully in between. They work well to get in those joints, too

Okay, 3 weeks ago I watch the first one, and I just finished watching part 4, You are definitely the ''King of Motu Origins action figures'' you have clearly spent a lot of Time, effort, money, and dismembered a lot of figures to make the ones you did (and spent a lot on the figures and parts you bought) Most of them look like legit store bought figures, I like a lot of them, Some are faves because of Who they are, others cause of How well you made them,
Personally ? I like Walter White, Dead-Eye-Duck, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, several of the Batman, Space Skeletor, and for what impressed me ? you also did amazing work on Cable, Doctor Octopus, Punisher, Spawn, Prisoner Superman, Scarecrow, Deathstroke, Ghost Serpent King, Diablo, and Dolph Lundgren Movie HeMan, and my all time faves are your Original Demon Batman, the Batman who laughs, Space Ace, and Terrork The Demon King (Some of these truly involved a lot of creativity and effort)
Again these all look legit, and very impressive, plus the fact that you've made and bought so many customs and 3D printed items, Your Motu room is unbelievable, especially with your new cloud ceiling, and I cant wait to see all the figures and vehicle on all the playsets and displays !!! Great work, and have fun making (and buying) more to expand your gigantic army of Origins figures. I doubt many collectors have as many cool things as you do.

Love the customs. I have lots of regional customs, like deser adventures & iceland adventure figures. I love that we as collectors can have fun. My kids help me & I with their anime customs. Got a lot of my stuff from etsy & shapware also. Keep kicking butt .⚔🛡

🤣 😂 I never really realized how much extra parts I had until I organized them fully. I try to buy lots of loose figures when I see them for a good price , same for weapons and accessories. That's how I got all this in a short amount of time as far as extra parts n figures.

@James Armstrong don't boil the heads. Just drop them in when the water is boiling n turn the heat off. Keep it in there for like 90 secs n them it's ready . That's for any other body piece, too. If u boil it , it will end up making it discolored

Where do you get those paint markers? And do they leave things tacky?
I get them from a store called Hobby Lobby, but they probably sell them online. As fsr as leaving them sticky ... as long as u let them dry, they work great. Normally, I try to give things 2 coats n have it dry fully in between. They work well to get in those joints, too

I went over it in this video. It's those paint markers I showed near the beginning. I'll try to show them more in the next video. I got them from hobby lobby
