I truly love your honest comments about KPK governor. A hypocrite, a liar or a "Khabees" must openly and frankly be addressed, as you did. A respectable and honorable man should be addressed respectfully, but those who are not, deserve to be addressed with no respect.
All of your vlogs speaks of your intellect Dr sahab. Our eyes are really thirsty to find such substantial, interesting and realistic analysis on our mainstream media but unfortunately our electronic media has totally degraded its authenticity
Hi Dr Moeed, I am an ardent follower of your vlogs. It is so refreshing to hear a Pakistani journalist with such intellect caliber and decency. The way you communicate with a very impactful story telling format and with a twist each time is surely commendable. I am a marketer so can relate to it even more. If you ever plan to visit Atlanta pls let me know and would love to host you. Just few suggestions: I know it is challenging to fix a particular time for every vlog but it would be nice if you prompt your followers the time for next release. Secondly it might be interesting to do another format where your engage with some of the audiences. Keep up the brilliant work. Nadeem Zamañ
DrSahib this vlog about Mustafa Zaidi sahib has brought back memories for me. In the late 60’s we lived in England and there my parents became friends with Mustafa Zaidi and his then wife also in this group were Nusrunminallah Sahib ( father or Athar Minaallah) and his wife and Dr Chema who later became principal of Dental college Lahore. This was a fiercely intellectual group. I was very young at that time but I remember they were always talking about Pakistan and their love for Pakistan. At that time they all were deeply worried about East Pakistan. Among this group was a Bengali couple from then East Pakistan who was vocal about the resentment in East Pakistan but In spite of that this Bengali couple was deeply committed to Pakistan. All of these friends including my parents returned to Pakistan they truly believed in serving Pakistan. They never lost hope .Having lived in the company of such committed Pakistanis I am still holding hope and praying for Pakistan and I hope we don’t repeat the mistakes of our past. The untimely and mysterious death of Zaidi sahib was very traumatic for my parents .

I agree. Also, I think parents want their children to have a secure career like medicine which might pay better and provide stability. Journalism is a very tough profession and can be dangerous too. Hope things change soon for the better.

Many literary giants emerged from this profession. Apart from doing great service to the country they penned not only service papers but also literary gems. It's only now that we see pygmies in every sphere including civil service of Pakistan.

Also number of parks were also created for ladies, children and for gents.

Dr Saheb, to gain a deeper understanding of M. Zaidi, I suggest that you read Raza Rumi's essay "Mustafa Zaidi: A Poet Remembered." This thought-provoking piece can be found in Rumi's book "Being Pakistani".. I am unsure if it is accessible online...

Mustafa Zaidi’s case looks even less curious considering that one of the greatest Urdu poets joined Pakistan Army( Faiz Sahib) - and probably the best Urdu female poet went into civil services - Parveen Shakir.
Was it the urge to gain self esteem after being ruled over by british raj or just the best available way to bring change into society , only realizing later that you can’t change the system but it changes you instead.
It is also worth mentioning that probably it all started when Qudrut Ullah Shahab ( a great Urdu nasar nigar) joined the indian civil services and became Pakistan’s first bureaucrat

اُن کا تخلص تیغ الہ آبادی تھا۔
love the way You speak Sir.
Enjoyed watching this Vlog again after a year was delightful esp Mustafa Zaidi story: wonder if you done its sequel??
While listening to you I recall how mom and others we shocked and following the story.
All of his poetry you recite, I recite it all my life, I was about 12 years old when he was murdered.
Also, there are many other intellects that our generation don’t even know existed and what were there contribution and that includes myself. We appreciate all the work your doing and specifically your intellectual and rhetorical speech. Much Love with lots of Duas for you from Canada !
love can make even a sane person do insane things I guess as love follows no rationality nor does it care for rules; would love to hear a bit more about the life of Mr. Mustafa Zaidi and your take on what led him to do the things he did. Thanks for an intriguing vlog once again!
