When I was a kid, I loved going groundhog hunting with some of my uncles and cousins. We always had a good experienced groundhog dog and a young dog or two in training along with us. Those young dogs would stick their noses in the hole and come out yelling with their nose bleeding. It was funny watching them get mad and keep going back. LOL In the spring we caught little ones for pets. I'm old and disabled now, and no one goes groundhog hunting anymore, anyway. Can't dig a groundhog out with a cell phone. LOL You must have been in a battle field to make all those great finds. Thanks for taking us along!

Hey Danny, great video. I checked and seven civil war battles in Alabama. I don’t know we’re your brother-in-law lives, but these are the seven battles, the first three are in the northern part of the state and they were minor battles. May 4, 1863 Day’s Gap / Sand Mountain, January 26, 1864 Athens and October 26-29, 1865. Next were major battles April 2-9, 1865 Selma and

Danny had to start another paragraph because it would not let me edit my early one. After Selma the next battle was March 27-April8, 1865 Spanish Fort. The other two battles were by the Gulf of Mexico and they were August 2-23, 1864 Mobile Bay / Fort Morgan & Fort Gaines and other was April 2-9, 1865 Fort Blakey. I put the wrong date for Selma that was April 2, 1865. As for the Spanish Silver coin those were used by America after the Revolutionary War until the US made there own.

Early on we used silver from several nation's including Spain for we didn't have ah mint of our own. It served in early America as acceptable currency.

Those sunken in places were probably dug out to hide from the enemy. The soldiers would have laid down in them. I’m surprised you didn’t find buttons and j hooks.

Sounds like a watcher was watching you. They love to communicate by knocking and whistles. She might be sweet on you Danny. You ever get you pheromones checked. You seem to attract them critters. I see you got a PLD so they can find you if you get carried off. Take care and beware.
