2018 Golf R Getting Emblem Covers!!

- In this video, we are installing emblem covers on my 2018 Golf R front and rear emblems. I have painted the rear emblem and vinyl wrapped the front emblem with light smoke tint from Vvivid. I have purchased these emblem covers through Pinalloy. It was around $70 CAD with shipping. I believe the shipping portion was free. I don’t remember. You can also get this from Aliexpress.
This cover doesn't cause an error with your lane keep assist or with the radar. I drove about 650kms after the installation, I didn't have a problem at all! Just make sure to let the adhesive to cure before washing your car. I would wait about 2 or 3 days.

I didn’t want the emblems to be crooked so I took my time. My advice to anyone doing this job would be take your time.

I want to do this same mod for my Tiguan as it looks much better than vinyl wrap. So you haven’t had any issues with the ACC radar?
@@jatizado there is no big disadvantage to using it with the AAC. But I drove through snow/ice once and it disabled the AAC.
When it dried up i have not got any issues again.
But it works like a sunglass, if you put sunglasses on while you are in the shadow it will affect the car.
Like driving in daylight but still the automatic lights will go on.
