Thanks for the video, my Mom and Dad are from New Iberia and Mom first grew up on Avery Island, her parents worked for International Salt, then when she was 12:they moved to Center Street by the Bicycle Shop & 2 houses from the railroad tracks, a guy at the Ford Dealer back in the 1990s let me know Mom's parents home was moved to Avery Island, Dad grew in the country on a Sugar Cane Farm down the road by Lulu's Almost all of my relatives are in Acadiana, proud of our Cajun heritage Enjoyed y'alls video Shucks in Abbeville has great Seafood too :)

I was stationed at the Navy base in New Iberia back in 1960-1961 and loved the town and the people. Anyone remember the Sugar Cane Lounge??!!
