You two are in my top 3 favorite couple homesteaders. Y’all are so friendly and humble, not to mention pretty darn cleaver. One more step closer…. Have a great weekend Stay safe and God bless 😀
It was a really big step forward hooking up all of those lines, I wouldn't say Sam looked like a bear on a bike in the circus more like a playful teddy enjoying himself on a Tonka toy bless him, Angela can't wait for the day when you say LET'S GO to moving in
Feral child waving in the background just made my day. I need to figure out a solar set up for a shed and have no clue where to start. The more I read the more confusing it gets. Regular plumbing and simple basic wiring I can do. Ground hydrant. I need a couple too.
Haha! Micro is the best name for that. I’ve never seen such a small excavator in my life(77 yrs old)!! So funny. It did get your jobs done. Love y’all. Watch all your videos!❤️
That's a pretty big milestone. All that line laid, hooked up and no leaks. Another step closer and you're all still smiling! Thanks for taking the extra time to take us along!
These videos helped motivate me to take on a major (for me anyway) plumbing upgrade project at a time when local contractors are so short-handed that they couldn't even come out to do a job estimate. Thanks for the inspiration!
You guys have great content and your cinematography is exceptional. Love seeing the feral kids thriving and enjoying the process along side of you. Thanks.
Ok Sam and Angela, I am belly laughing at your oh so cute excavator. I was expecting to see Giant Tonka logo on it. We love you guys, and I know this is a journey. Loving the homestead life. God bless.
You guys just "git after it!"!!! Amazing progress. There's just something about seeing water running after getting everything connected is sooooo satisfying!
We ran a water line years ago. The line was in the ditch a couple of days before it was all hooked up. Finished the install, hooked it up and had water in the house for a few minutes and then it stopped. A lot of head scratching and looking uncovered that there was a mouse in the line who came to an abrupt "smushed" stop when the he reached the house plumbing.
Excellent job mom and dad teaching that boy how to do the stuff I love it it’s what we need with all our children to show them they should all work great job
It amazes me that your children entertain themselves practically all day outside just playing in the area your working and leave the electronic world to evenings. Not many kids will leave their electronic toys for long.
Just a friendly FYI always hold the pressure relief valve open on the water heater till it fills up, just be ready to close it before it spills out so it doesn’t build up pressure while filling up.
I love watching you guys. I wish you were my neighbors! 😊 You are coming along so well with all your work. I love that you let your oldest son work with the machinery. You trust each other and that builds confidence. Looking forward to your next video and more progress. God bless you all!
Sam, you and Angelia have done amazing things on your new homestead, but I have got to say, in my opinion your and Angelia’s BIGGEST Accomplishment is the way you two are raising your boys!! The look on that young man’s face when you ask him if he wanted to fill in some of that ditch was wonderful. You and Angelia are fantastic parents. And you both are pretty good at building up an new homestead also. Thank you for another wonderful video. May God continue to bless you all. ❤️❤️
Amazing how well you work together. I loved the comment Angela when Sam questioned her use of the ter "we" in discussing the work to be completed. Every project is benefited by a supervisor to oversee & double check progress. Sam we all know who does the heavy lifting 💪 around their. You are a great team.
Karla B 1 second ago So glad Angela put that umbrella on your excavator! That lovely old sun can be brutal! And loved seeing Elijah work that excavator! Great job you all!!
AWESOME JOB ANGELA AND SAM, THAT MICRO EXCAVATOR AT LEAST GOT THE WATER LINES IN FOR YOU. EVERYTHING IS STARTING TO COME TOGETHER AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU WILL BE IN YOUR HOME.
It was nice to see the whole process in one video. It must be very satisfying to be following through with your vision. Your oldest son is looking very grown up. He is going to be a big help on your homestead. God bless you all.
You two blow me away with not only the amount of work you do but knowing how to do these projects! It’s so impressive and interesting. I cannot believe how happy I was to see that water running in your home 😁💛👍🏼 Congrats on another huge accomplishment!
Sharable connections are known to leak. That's why in Michigan you cannot use them inside a wall in your home. The pex band (not metal rings) are the best. If for some reason the water line freezes the band will stretch & not break. But when it thaws the band will shrink and not leak.
I enjoyed this video very much. I'm so impressed with all the work that you and Angela do. I check every day for a new video from you. You guys are my favorites!!
You guys are the best. Keep on truckin and all things will come in time. I don't know about a lot of people but watching the journey is the best part. God Bless you guys.
Yes! You have water. You guys do so much work and it shows. Put you steps ahead. Waiting for someone to do jobs is like waiting on molasses. Happy for you guys!
Ya'll are so cool! I was smiling the WHOLE time your son was using the excavator! One more step closer to being able to move back into your mobile home. I bet it's so great when you pull into your driveway and see everything that you two have accomplished so far as you pull all the way up to your driveway circle. I can't wait to see more!
When I saw the first shot of Sam on the micro excavator, the first thing I thought was, "That's a toy machine, or is Sam bigger than I thought?" I didn't realize they made them that small. LOL
Hi Sam & Angela Another great video. You were having to much fun today digging in the dirt. I know your son was excited about getting to drive the mini excavator. Well, another big milestone done. I watched another video awhile back where a guy ran over 2000 feet of the flex pipe underground. So you should be good Thanks for sharing this fun and funny episode of your homestead build. Can't wait to see what you do next Stay strong and safe
I'm glad your plumbing job went so well. I just changed out our shower valve and it was very hard. I kept finding leaks and had to keep soldering our copper pipe joints. So glad to get that done. I wanted to use those shark bites but the guy at Home Depot said it would not be a good idea to use them behind walls so that's why I had to solder. So happy for you!!!!
I may have mentioned it before and you may have already addressed it but make sure you put and extra water meter box near your meter and put an in-lind pressure reducer. Its best to put it in front if meter. I installed a hydrant when I first moved into my homestead over 2.5 years ago and the pressure blew out seals in a brand new hydrant. I have on on my mobile home, but it only works to the home. I plan on getting one installed myself, soon, in front of water meter. The inspector said I could use 5 gallon buckets to put it in instead of a meter box. I am gonna try and get one soon and practice what I preach. Keep up thd good work. I wish I could bring my new bx1880 to help you out with all that dirt, but you are too far. I'd love to help, if I could. I am 6 ft, 280lbs and look like an elephant riding a piss ant when I use my lil bota. Lol Its under powered, too, but it'll do what I need it to do. You 2 did good. GOD Bless.
You two always amaze me with all that you do. Great job! I love seeing how everything is coming together. Also, I LOVE the long video. It was like watching a Sam & Angela movie. Thank y'all so much.
Someday you are going to regret not installing a tracer wire alongside the water lines :) Also, @ 29:36 Should have used 1 inch PEX for the manifold with reducing tees (1 inch to 3/4) to maximize water flow. Right now, you have a one inch main supply going down to 3/4 before it splits off to the different waterlines. Which creates a bottleneck and impedes maximum waterflow. Kind of like having a two lane road for ten miles but at one single point, it is reduced to one lane.
my brother has something like you have as a center point for water with the water meter in it - he built a mini deck around it and screwed down the board so he can pick them up if he need to - he did the outside area with retaining boards with wooden pegs to hold it then decked over the top - looks good and nice, tidy and big enough to get into if their is a problem
I like when you give tips and information when you have them. Now, I have one, buy yourself a fuel transfer pump, you will be glad you did, not expensive and D cell batteries. Never have to pour fuel again. They work great. One day in your later years, that 5 gallon container will get extra heavy.
A lot of work and you accomplished a lot of digging and installing water lines and covering it all up. I admire your taking a large project and completing it with confidence.
Everything is so expensive nowadays. When we lived in Montana on the Alberta Canadian border we had natural artesian spring water coming out of the ground & a pond from it. It was the best tasting water. Enjoy your videos.
You work so well together. Sam, you’re great at explaining the process you’re using. I always learn from you. But….the thing I love best about your videos is the bloopers!!! You laugh at yourselves, as you should. You let people know you make mistakes. I enjoy you guys ❤️
Been watching your videos for awhile loving them all. Love the way you involve the kids as well. You are the best homesteads in my opinion keep putting out these great videos and god bless xxx
Wow, great job. In my area we have to put the water lines down about 4-5 feet, below the frost lines in Ontario. If you put any more water lines in the ground, might I sugest a few inches above the water line, put a TRACER wire. 1,5,10 years down the road, you can find the water line much easier, by locater device, connected to the tracer wire.
Fantastic progress. Yes on the pond!! Hubby dug one decades ago. We have really enjoyed it. About 60 ft across, shaped like a wedge. About 7 ft at the deepest. We added a couple of diving rocks. And a slide of sorts for years. Even a couple of rope swings. One large, the other small. We had sooooo much fun watching little guys build up courage to use the little one. Once they use it they are ear to ear grin, even tho they are only mid calf deep!!
Loved this video. When you saw you on the mini excavator I laughed my hindend off then again when you stepped in in that water hole and sunk up, I would’ve loved to seen that water spill that got you wet, doesn’t take much to entertain me I thought it was hilarious but you did a great job on the line digging and got the job done that’s all that matters. Thanks for the entertainment.
Wow, Sam is a GREAT excavator operator! So fun to see the homestead getting developed! DEFINITELY, a "we" operation! 👊👏👍💪❤️️❤️️❤️️ P.S. Umbrella retrofit WORKS!! ☂☂☂👍👍👍😍😍😍
In addition to my earlier comment suggesting individual isolation valves on the branch lines. After a 40 year career at a large city municipal water supply utility I offer a few more suggestions. When creating a manifold with multiple branches. The manifold should be of the same diameter pipe as the supply line from the source. If branch lines are smaller then reducer fittings should be used on the outlets of the manifold along with valves. Also any time a non rigid pipe goes under a roadway, rail line etc.the line should be installed in a rigid casing to prevent settlement and vibration of road use crushing or puncturing the pipe.
This was a GREAT VIDEO!! You both do such a GREAT job together and I look forward to each one of your FANTASTIC episodes!! Cannot wait to see your next one!! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS!! 🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dig the pond large enough to install a dry fire hydrant system (a hydrant the fire dept can hook to so water can be pumped from the pond) It will lower fire insurance costs.
So interesting seeing the new brass fittings for plumbing and the tiny excavator. A lot of muddy but important jobs got done. And BEST of all - not leaks. speaks well of your workmanship. Thanks again for sharing.
as a lic plumbing in ct we cant use shark bits but u missed a step there a tool to set the death of the shark bit and mark it !! great job good luck just trying to help u
Heah Y'all! That is a cute little excavator! Digs the perfect width for your water lines! Not alot of filling to do afterwards. We call those hydrants "horse heads" here in OK. My dad has a couple on this property. Those Sharkbite coupling are awesome. Very handy! Love your channel!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video!! I know it was a lot of work, but it sure did look like fun digging up those trenches. You two have such a great attitude. 😊
Indeed that was a lot of work and happy that you were able to afford the equipment to make the job go a bit easier and faster than the back breaking shovel. That mini looked fun. Great job on the work. Glad to hear that sharkbite is upping their game on the removal tool, fitting types and tape. Thank for the info. The yard might look a bit rough now but the grass will grow quickly and I know once the major projects are completed Angela will be on the landscaping. No rushing this is yours now!!!! :):)
Y'all are so sweet. I hope someday I will meet Y'all in person. One of these days my husband and I will come to TN and maybe meet Y'all. God bless y'all and keep y'all safe in his loving arms.
Boy was I excited to see you had another video out! Angela you were thinking the same way I was, the umbrella to shade your love from getting burned by the sun and with the pex line to the greenhouse in using the shorter piece to go to the soap shed so you don't have to do any underground patch connections. Can't wait for the next video!
Thanks you two for sharing, so enjoy seeing Sam in action and Angela keeping Sam in action 😄. Oh, always hang in there at the end for your out takes. God Bless!
I stumbled upon your channel late Friday night, and let’s just say your stuck with me now! I’ve binge watched from the beginning until now and what a fabulous job you guys are doing on your mobile home. I’ve learned a few things and what a cute couple you are and the Feral kids are adorable! 🥰
GLAD TO HEAR YOU GUYS ARE BELIEVERS. PRAISE GOD! GOOD JOB. ENJOY WATCHING YOUR WORK & FAMILY!
You two are in my top 3 favorite couple homesteaders. Y’all are so friendly and humble, not to mention pretty darn cleaver.
One more step closer….
Have a great weekend
Stay safe and God bless 😀
I was going to say that exact same thing. Sam and Angela NEVER disappoint. They don't try to be anything other than what they are. Genuinely likeable.
It was a really big step forward hooking up all of those lines, I wouldn't say Sam looked like a bear on a bike in the circus more like a playful teddy enjoying himself on a Tonka toy bless him, Angela can't wait for the day when you say LET'S GO to moving in

Just make sure you use the right size fuses & thicker wire so as not to lose wattage.

I did not know there was such a thing as a mini trencher. That is really neat. What a time saver and back saver. Interesting to watch. God bless.
You guys have great content and your cinematography is exceptional. Love seeing the feral kids thriving and enjoying the process along side of you. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
May I ask what is a feral kid? I think it’s a son helping his mom & dad on their homestead.
@@kristinejackson5522 it’s what they called the boys when they were little and would make noises during the videos.
Ok Sam and Angela, I am belly laughing at your oh so cute excavator. I was expecting to see Giant Tonka logo on it. We love you guys, and I know this is a journey. Loving the homestead life. God bless.
That Micro is like the one Doug bought. I had not seen one that small until Doug got his.
A job well done. 🕊
You are such an Awesome dad yo let your son ride that tractor. I’m sure he’s NEVER going to forget this day.
You guys just "git after it!"!!! Amazing progress. There's just something about seeing water running after getting everything connected is sooooo satisfying!
Sure is, especially with no leaks! :)
Who else was happy that this was the longest video yet?!👏👏👏👏. Awesome 🥰. Dang that's expensive.

Sam I love how you and Angela instill confidence in the boys. Such good parenting ♥️
That young man sure is doing a great job!
I love it when Sam puts the video in fast mode with the tractor! You’re homestead is coming along well!
I always enjoy your videos but the bloopers at the end are PRICELESS! Thank you for sharing those moments with us viewers!
Excellent job mom and dad teaching that boy how to do the stuff I love it it’s what we need with all our children to show them they should all work great job

Love Issac and Elijah they are so sweet. 🥰 I bet Elijah was loving being in the driver's seat of the excavator running it. How cool is that.👍🏻❤️😁
Praise God for His unending mercy and grace through our Lord Jesus Christ. Love ya'all.
It looks like a kids toy but it gets the job done. I love watching your videos. I have learned so much.
Just a friendly FYI always hold the pressure relief valve open on the water heater till it fills up, just be ready to close it before it spills out so it doesn’t build up pressure while filling up.

Cutest little excavator I've ever seen, sure beats digging by hand though. The umbrella was genius!
You work so well together. Sam, you’re great at explaining the process you’re using. I always learn from you. But….the thing I love best about your videos is the bloopers!!! You laugh at yourselves, as you should. You let people know you make mistakes. I enjoy you guys ❤️
The bloopers were GREAT! I loved the clip where your wife talked and then you said, “well, now I’ll talk about… my box!”
I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING WHEN SAM JUMPED IN THE HOLE WITH THE WATER IN IT DUH!!!!!!!!
Use a Brillo-pad or two and you can get the rust stains out of the bottom of your kitchen sink.🧡🧡🧡🧡
I very much enjoy your channel…you two learn the way I did, by your mistakes. You two make an awesome team.
Been watching your videos for awhile loving them all. Love the way you involve the kids as well. You are the best homesteads in my opinion keep putting out these great videos and god bless xxx
Sam, Angela - y’all have done a great job !! You’ve worked really hard on this one …. You’re getting closer to the end 😊😘
You guys can do just about anything, that’s awesome. God bless
Having a 2nd water source is a very good idea. It's worth everything if you need it. Great job Sam and Angela
You two are a fantastic team on those green acres.
Wow, you weren't kidding on that. Micro indeed.

Glad to hear that sharkbite is upping their game on the removal tool, fitting types and tape. Thank for the info.
The yard might look a bit rough now but the grass will grow quickly and I know once the major projects are completed Angela will be on the landscaping. No rushing this is yours now!!!! :):)
You’re always thinking ahead, the umbrella on the excavator was a nice touch.
I think I would be digging holes for fruit trees with that mini excavator!
Y'all are so sweet. I hope someday I will meet Y'all in person. One of these days my husband and I will come to TN and maybe meet Y'all. God bless y'all and keep y'all safe in his loving arms.
TERRIFIC! But, are y'all ALWAYS this happy? I hope so, because you always give us a lift! May God bless your whole family richly!
Sam and Angela, I just love you and your sweet family. Glad for your good progress!!
Yall.... YALL!!! That is the cutest little excavator EVER! Well done!
Best dad ever.
