Only found out about these omnibus collections recently, I love the older Marvel comics in comparison to the modern stuff...just so much more fun to read! Will definitely want to add these Spidey stories to my collection.
I'm glad they included issues 100-104 in this Omnibus. They went up to issue 99 in the Masterworks volume 10. I was thinking if they ended at 99 in Omnibus volume 3, Morbius first appearance, Death of Gwen Stacy and the Green Goblin and Punisher's early appearances would all wind up in volume 4. Nice review. I started buying Spider-man off the racks with issue 44 and love this era of Spider-Man.
Quick question what comics does venom/carnage come in? Are they even in the comics made by stan lee? Because I noticed omnibus books 1-3 don't have them yet.
Barricade2091 you wouldn't see that for a long time. Volume 3 is still in the 70's. There is a Carnage trade paperback that covers all his appearances if that would interest you.
Barricade2091 they have an amazing spiderman omnibus by michilini and art by McFarlane. That has the birth of venom I believe but the book is rare and expensive
Venom first shows up towards the end of issue 298. Not sure if they'll reprint the Michelinie/McFarlane Spider-Man omnibus again. Might have to wait for it to show in Marvel's Epic Collection TPB.
The artwork in these books really is amazing artists now days should be using this as a refrince

David Garrett Pretty sure he said #3 here covers issues 68-104. Yes in my opinion the John Romita issues are the best!
