Wow… where do I even begin? First off, I'm truly sorry you had to go through that, but as always, I deeply appreciate you sharing your story with us. It reminds me that I'm not alone or broken-that others are facing similar challenges-and it strengthens me in my own battles. Your words about how it's easier to fight for others' justice than your own really hit home. This is something I've been grappling with for a while. Thank you for reminding me to pick up my sword. Wishing you a wonderful month ahead!
Hey there. One of the main reasons I wanted to share this was because of exactly what you said: I want folks to know they're not alone. And even people who "look" like they have it together, don't. We're all working on ourselves. Sharing experiences makes that work relatively easier. Thanks for checking out the vid.🙏🏾
“Get it in your bones that you deserve justice”. Powerful words, powerful video. I held off all week watching this because I knew I was going to need space to really take in the teaching. Thank-you Rashunda for your vulnerability and wisdom. And big props to younger Rashunda for getting you through that harmful situation
My current situation is similar in terms of power imbalance. There is a limit to what I can do to stand up for myself, so I can't fight in the obvious way. But, I think you are describing balance as including a sword, not just a scale. It is still fighting for myself even if I can't be confrontational. I often see discussions about about abusive behavior arguing against fairness, as if fairness is concession. But, allowing oneself to be abused is not fairness. It's not compassionate to oneself or anyone else to allow oneself to be taken advantage. Fairness, equality, and balance are still good things, they just might involve asserting oneself or fighting, not allowing things to happen.
"But, allowing oneself to be abused is not fairness." THIS! Yes, exactly. And balance "includes" the sword. Thanks for bringing that point up. I hope you can resolve your situation in a way that's fair and just for YOU.
BET “When you fight for Justice for yourself first, you will avoid centering yourself instead of the people you are supporting in the fight for Global Justice - because you’re not using that fight as compensation.“
Amen, Rashunda, Amen! So true. No personal justice, no peace of mind and soul. Try to stand up for myself and also let time, distance and karma work it out.
How dare ANYONE treat you that way! I don't care what country it is or how much money they have. I am sorry and angry that this happened to you. He's a soulless ass.
Yes Rash, YES! Thank you for sharing such a potent & distressing experience to highlight personal power & justice.

Hey there. Yeah, he was lacking a lot of qualities.
